Any issues with them being swapped. Just off the cuff I was thinking as long as they are factory tundra wheels, the 20" would work fine in place of the 18" tundra wheels, but I'm new at this.

UPDATE: it's official. New 20" wheels (XSP) and Toyo Open Country AT2 tires are on.

Stick with the 18’s. The ride is mo betta. If you do twinkies...go with at least a 33” tire.

My truck originally came with 18's but the original owner somewhere down the line swapped to 20's. Everyone says the ride is harsher and I have often wondered if 18's would be better as far as ride goes. The ride isn't bad except on some highway stretches where the concrete sections drop off and rise quickly. Seems the truck gets into a rhythm and feels like a seesaw. The truck handles great with the lower profile tires though :burnrubber:

That's more a a bed hop or suspension phenomenon than a tire issue. 18s wouldn't fix that

I see you are in Georgia, I was hoping you had the TRD Offroad wheels. I'm wanting to trade my BBS 20's for those.

    These.

Mine came with 18" steel wheels wearing 255/70R18 tires, today it rides on 18" OEM Alloys and 285/60/18 tires. The ride is firm, but remains forgiving even with a shorter sidewall. A 20" wheel would require a shorter sidewall to achieve the same diameter, the ride would be less forgiving.

I just swapped from the factory 20s on my TRD Sport to TRD Offroad 18s. You will have no issue swapping the other way.

If you're changing to 20s I highly recommend moving up a size to 275/60/R20 like mine or 285/55/R20 like @NewImprovedRon. I felt like the stock 275/55/R20s were too small for my truck, I didn't think they looked right on mine. But then again, they look good on @mnm 's truck. It's all about what you think looks good.

Thank you, Sir! Same to you. I'm trying my hardest to not spend any more money on it. I'm beyond the days of lifts and offroading, it's all about practicality for me now (at least I keep telling myself that when I visit this site ...lol).

I hear you and agree 100%. I'm looking at ridge grapplers in the 275/60r20 size. Nice looking rig BTW.

Thanks. I had RGs on my last truck and really liked them, they performed well in every terrain. My only complaint was they felt very heavy, which they are, but they were worth it. I decided to change it up this time and go back to KO2s and I have been very happy with them. Two other tires I really like are Goodyear Duratracs and Falken Wildpeak AT3s. Good luck with your tire choice, there are a lot of great options.

Went from stock 18s to newer 20s on my 2007, didn't even have to reset the TPMS light

Well damn...went to a tire dealer's website and got a quote on a set of ridge grapplers yesterday. Called today to make an appointment and they tell me they only have 3. No problem I can wait. Then he says something about me mensioning I had a price already. He asked what it was. When I tell him what the email quote was he says I can't sell them for that. WTH!!! Your company website sent me an email with a quote good until 31 Jan. "Well I can't see that info on my end. A third party handles that for us." Not a happy camper am I. :censored: :censored: :censored:

Since it came from the company, they should have to stand behind it.
