If you've lifted your Tundra Waaaay up and feel a vibration in the rear driveline chances are your driveline is not fully splined. 4wd applications 5" or more in the rear and 2wd applications 3" or more in the rear can definitely benefit. Normally guys running the Bulletproof lift using 9"/10"/11" rear leafs and are 4wd will need a .750" or 1" spacer.
2wd trucks don't have the slip yoke design the 4wd models do and are much more tempermental when it comes to rear lift. The 2wd trucks pull on the carrier bearing and will actually slide the font portion of the driveline out of the tail shaft.

Hi, I realize this post is old but I recently lifted a 2015 2wd with a 7" BDS kit, whats the size of your spacer?

This application usually uses a 1.25" driveline spacer. every truck sits just a touch different but would recommend pulling a measurement from the tall shaft out to the edge of the cup (dust shield) on the front portion of the driveline. We build them in .750" and 1.25"

Is this needed on a 3-3.5” lift?

Usually not, with a 3"-3.5" lift up front we normally only raise the rear 1.75" and will not need a driveline spacer. If you need help with lift options please let me know.

O.K. I have the spacer...… I'll install tomorrow. Hopefully this resolves the driveshaft being pulled backwards and into the carrier bearing frame under hard braking.

Yours.... this is mike in tampa. You shipped out Saturday

    It’s in...... took a whopping 10-15 minutes.

No more pulling the front driveshaft into the carrier bearing under hard braking. I didn’t realize that was what it was at first. I figured it was bad timing after installing the lift because it sounds just like pad to rotor...... so I have new brakes in the rear because of it.

Awesome! I didn't realize it was you :) Fixed the driveline, carrier bearing, vibration and scored some new back brakes. Nice job! Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the follow up Jose, I would def recommend correcting this while you're under there. As the suspension cycles up and down the driveline will pull in and out of the tail shaft not only minimizing the amount of spline its using but will also end up wearing the tail shaft seal out.
Invoice sent and will ship your spacer with your shackles. thank you!

So to revive an old threat, but this is the closest I can find to my issue.

While I am ordering the driveshaft spacer and waiting for it to come in, can I drive the truck gently?
