Looking for any help here. I have a programmable remote start. I can set it to start at specific day and times.

Problem is when it starts the horn honks about 5 times. Almost like the alarm is going off

Any idea how to troubleshoot the issue?

Did you look to see if that’s a “feature” of the starter? It could be programmed to do that so that you know it started. My 12voltsolutions starter beeps several times to acknowledge receipt of the start signal. (It’s not the horn, it’s the same tone as when I look/unlock the doors.)
The 3rd part starter on my old Silverado beeped the horn a couple/few times to acknowledge receipt of the start signal.
And as @Omohundro said: What kind of starter do you have?
Also, what year and model tundra do you have?
Once you share this info, I’m sure that someone on the forum will have an answer for you.

I have no idea the brand of remote start.
I do t see that it says anywhere on it. The module that controls the programmable aspect of it is an add on. It’s not made by the remote start company. My fob doesn’t even have a start button. Trying to figure this mess out.

    I have a CMLTD 2011

I am attaching a photo of what the control for it is.

Can’t find any good info on it. It’s not covered in the manual.

On mine what had to be done is the factory alarm needs to deactivate before the truck starts, than after it starts it re activate.
