    Hi guys,
Finally decided to go with 5100s on all four corners on my 18CM.

I can find tons of pics with people on the middle setting but can't find a single one with the lowest setting. Has anyone tried it on the lowest? Just trying to decide but hard to without have some form of pic on the lowest to compare I guess.

Second question, will there be much of a ride feel difference between lowest and middle? I read that users say the ride stiffens up a bit going from middle to top. So would that mean going to lowest will soften it up? Sorry if that sounds retarded. Its my first truck.

Someone with more knowledge will chime in
    GOOD LUCK!

I'm fairly certain the 5100 on the bottom is the same as the 4600, so if you're never planning on raising it to the 2nd or 3rd setting you can save a few bucks with the 4600s. I had 5100s on my old Titan at the middle setting and I would say it was a little stiff, but not bad at all.

Thats what I thought at first but was told that even at the lowest on the 5100, its about .9" lift vs 4600. Thats why I figured a near inch lift is ok, but just not able to find a pic with that setting so I can compare with those who went middle setting.

You could be right on that, I was just basing my comment off my experience with my Titan. At least with the 5100s you can always set it on the 2nd or 3rd and go back down if you think it's too stiff. I didn't want to pay someone to adjust mine again, and I wasn't about to kill myself with a rental spring compressor on my off-road springs!

My 2010 has 5112's on the lowest setting in the front,5100's at stock setting in the rear. I wanted the slight 'rake' for towing, it sits dead level with the boat hooked-up.

5100's on the middle setting. it is stiffer than stock, but stock was really squishy.

I have mine on the lowest setting. I had a little over 3/4 of an inch lift. I wanted some rake. 90% of the time my truck is towing my boat. It is level with the boat hooked up. The ride is a small amount stiffer but I like it better.

Thanks for chiming in on it guys. I too want a slight rake since I don't want the back to squat too exaggerated when towing.

Middle setting def looks good. Does it go nose up easily when thing are loaded in the box? Nothing crazy, I'm talking about few hundred pounds to 500 or so.

Anyone happen to have or seen a 3rd gen on the bottom setting? I never thought trying to find a pic of it @.87 was that hard. Dozens of 1.5 and 2.25 pics out there.

Yea, you might be right. I love the looks of the middle setting honestly, but I do put things in the bed quite often and afraid it would get that squatted look.

    Nice look.
Did you add anything to the rear or leave it stock? And what size tires?
Just picked up a new tundra last month and am looking to do something like this.

    Thanks.

the rear is stock. the tires are 295-55-20 ridge grapplers. there was no rubbing with that tire and wheel combination.

I will get you some better pics later today.
Front Suspension: Bilstein 5100, lowest setting
Rear Suspension: Bilstein 5100, not adjustable (no lift)

As you can see, there is still rake... It's what I was going for.
    Hope this helps.

How is the ride on lowest setting compared to the off-road pkg 4600 trd version shock? (Not the same as Bilstein REAL 4600 version)
