Hey AZ guys and gals, will be down in Phoenix at the end of the month for the Waste Management Open with family and friends. We're staying in Peoria I believe, but just curious if any of you had suggestions as for cool places in the area? Whether it be cool bars to go to, things to do, etc. We're just gonna Uber around while we're down there, and if anyone wants to get a drink I'd be happy to meet up at some point.

InNOut is delish but I gotta give the nod to Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers. Try them both.

If you're into authentic Irish fish and chips, and Guinness on tap, don't miss Rula Bula Irish Pub in Tempe. Seriously good stuff and a fun atmosphere, in a historic building and area. Take a walk after eats and you'll discover all kinds of neat stuff in and around there.

There is Freddy's in CO. Save it for here. Fish and Chips does sound delish.

Absolutely planning on going there, even if I don't wind up buying anything. With the truck due to be in the body shop the first week of Feb, the mod fund is kind of low right now haha.

Ditto! Ate at one when I was out there last year, I was in Glendale area.
Found a good steak house up on Thunderbird Road but can't seem to locate it on map anymore, guess they weren't that good.
Arrowhead Grill and Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant, I'm not generally a chain eater but we don't have those chains in the South.

Breakfast tacos. I don't know of them being a *thing* anywhere but Phoenix, but in Phoenix they're definitely a thing.

A great local know is Rudy's BBQ which is a brisket place but they use the cuttings in breakfast tacos. Aaaand they're in Chandler, near SDHQ.

There is Rudy's in CO. Try for something more local

Sorry - I know this is the second recommendation I tell Zach exists in CO. I'm just making sure he gets something that isn't in CO. No offense to anyone.

There's some good local breweries here - Huss, McFate, Four Peaks (InBev bought them, but they still do their own thing with special releases), San Tan. Depends on which part of the area you're going to be in, with Huss and McFate having their main locations in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, Four Peaks in Tempe, and San Tan in Chandler, near-ish to SDHQ. I can vouch for Four Peaks and San Tan having good food and beer. McFate is hit or miss when I've gone, and I've only had beer from Huss, but they're one of my favorite local brews.

I'm in Tucson but whenever I have to go to Phoenix (which I usually avoid like the plague) I try to go to Mi Patio. Awesome Mexican food.

Last time I was out that way my friends and I went to top golf driving range. It was a blast! They serve you drinks and they have a restaurant. The driving range is digital and you get points for where the ball lands. Highly suggesting this.

    No problem.

I was out in AZ for a week in the early 2000's, stayed in Phoenix but drove all over the state, some of the tourist things I did were Tombstone, a jeep tour of the red rocks of Sedona, there's a place outside Tucson where they film a lot of Westerns but I forget the name, Montezuma 's castle to name a few. Can't speak for any food joints because I don't remember names and not sure if any are still open
