True story : i have a friend looking for a Tundra. I came across a used 16 SR at local Chevy dealer. I inquired about it. I was driving my Tundra. The salesman asked me. You looking to trade in your Tundra too? That went up my but. I asked how much, miles and the story. It's a 2016, 18000 miles and one owner is all he would tell me. I told him I was looking for a friend and was going to take some pictures. He through me off the lot. I went back when they were closed and took a picture and got the vin. This is when the Chevy owner comes in. I tracked down the previous owner and got the scoop. He bought the Tundra in 2015. Bear modle. A cam tower started to leak. They fixed it. A few months later the other one started to leak. It was fixed but he thought before something else happened and he could now afford a new truck he would buy something with all the bells and whistles. He bought a Chevy. They advertise better mpg, tow capacity and all that other crap. At 5k the transmission blow. 3k later the transfer case fell out. At about 12k well driving the Chevy the truck died and started smoking under the hood. Bad wiring harness. He went back to try to get his Tundra back under the Lemon Law. He was told it wasn't the same problem 3 times so he's out of luck. He asked to trade even. They told him they wanted $5000 and his Chevy. He is going to buy a new Tundra in the near future.20190113_123724.jpg Needless to say don't get rid of your Tundra because of cam tower leaks.

They threw you off the lot? What a dick. I’ve never been kicked off a lot. I’ve even told them I was looking for a friend. They were like “cool let us know if you need anything”. Also you were able to get a hold of the previous owner? That sounds like a raw deal that he got. We’ll take our brand new Chevy back plus $5000 to get your old truck back. Dickheads.

wow what a story, but the salesman throwing you off the lot is low life move!!.. I've been selling Toyota's for 9 years and even if someone tells me they are looking for their friends, they can look at day if that's what they want to do as far as i'm concerned!!

I saw a Chevy Colorado on the hwy yesterday morning that had a personal plate that read BAD MOJO. I think the bad mojo started the day he bought it.

So the Chevy owner has put 12k miles and numerous trips/repairs at the dealer and they still have his old truck for sale. How long have they been trying to sale that Tundra? My 16 I traded in was gone in less than a week.

I bet the Chevy depreciated over 50% LOL. That’s why they offered him so much less. The tundra probably went up in value haha.

The salesman said to me your going to buy it if he wants and I'll make a profit off them. They had this Tundra over 6 months. They want $35k for it. It is bone stock. No extras, no frills. You can buy that model new for $35k.

I bought a new 1989 Chevy 4x4 step side in Grants Pass Or. Drove it hard for 2 years, at 30K I took it to the Chevron station in Brookings Oregon for a tranny flush. Service was done and I took the family camping. 1/2 way to the lake I noticed smoke, pulled over and the tranny was on fire! Got the family out and safe and was throwing dirt at it, it was like napalm! Burned to the frame! Total loss! Chevy installed the Wrong dipstick at the factory! When they fluid in the tranny was flushed it added an extra quart, it got warm, drained down the tube on to the catalic converter and started a fire.

Had a 2005 Chevy failblazer, it locked the steering wheel at unfortunate times while driving! Took it to Airport chevy Medford
To get it fixed 5x, they finally replaced the steering column! But it was a 5 cent plastic part in the ignition switch! GM decided to save about 1 mil by replacing on numerous vehicles a metal part with plastic! If you had more than 6 keys on the ring the added weight shut the system off as you drove!
    Don't get me started!!! Lol
Remember, Chevy, Ford, Dodge all needed bailouts from the government under Obama! Toyota Didn't! Chevy was meant to fail and now it's time to fail again. They have 4,000 workers going to the unemployment line today! Great!
