D40C265F-17B5-4DB9-94E6-8568D47B45D9.jpg I just bought this Rough Country 6 light controller. I have a question before I mess something up. I don’t know much about wiring. The different lights I have all came with wiring harnesses. Do I just cut the relays and fuses off the harnesses and wire red and black straight to the controller? Sine the controller has built in fuses and relays.

I have the blazer C3050K remote light controller on my rig. From what I've read is, yes u can bypass the given relay and attach the positive and negative to the controller. Given of course the output amperage doesn't exceed that of what the controller is capable of handling. On mine I kept the relays as a just in case and use the blazer set up to trigger the relays. A little overkill, but better than tripping the safety on the controller..

Yes you can, I just read the info on it. It has 6 - 40 amp relays built into it. 8 gauge wire to the battery. Cut off the fuses and relays. If you get a light that has 2 relays, I'd use 2 spots on the controller or use the controller to control those relays. That's a cool switch.

Sorry I just saw these replies. That’s how I hooked it up by just cutting the relays off the harnesses. Works perfect now the hard part is getting the wire thru the firewall for the switch. It’s a pretty big plug. Thanks

What if you de-pin the plug? But make sure you mark down where they go back together

That would work but it’s cold here in NJ. So chose the different route dropping it off at local stereo shop on Tuesday. Lmao they are gunna mount the switches up in the front sunglasses holder on the roof. I’m not that good.
