If I were to powder coat my TRD Off-road stock wheels, how much would that set me back?

Wow, that's a really good price. I was quoted $150 per wheel here in OKC.

Damn, either he’s breaking even, doing a piss poor job or doing mass wheel jobs at once.

I sandblast and paint for a living, paint and labor costs more than that.
Just did a job for pipe fittings - $100 a piece. (This was with no primer...wouldn’t have been worth the effort WITH primer)

Wheels are more tedious and intensive work than these (more sanding/hard to reach spots, primer and paint = more $)

He typically is doing several sets at once and has work coming out of his ears. I've used him for wheels, nerfs, a snowmobile tunnel, Harley parts, lift parts...he always turns an awesome product. His hired help appears to be high everytime I've been in there, lol maybe it's the cheap labor?

At $50/wheel I bet he's busy lol. Maybe he's paying his workers in weed. Not sure if minimum wage or weed is cheaper at this point.

Hes in Michigan. It's legal up there now...not sure if that drives prices up or down? From my interaction I think dirt weed would keep these guys happy!

I paid $75 a wheel. I'm located in Idaho. Guy did a great job blasting the imperfections before coating.

I got a recommendation for a guy here in DFW and he stated if I brought just the wheels to him, he would do them for $65/wheel, so $260 cash. I just installed them this month and updated a pic on my intro page, if you're curious.

Bay area. Local shop that does industrial stuff but they did a good job and had a 2-day turn around. They used Tyger Drylac, which is an industry standard. Price included sandblast. They do a lot of work for the Tesla shops here.

PM me for info if you are close to the South Bay (Santa Clara)

What's the durability of aftermarket powdercoating on wheels, with tires being mounted and such? I assume curb rash is same as OEM.

Same. Not bulletproof but I've heard they hold up as well as any aftermarket/OEM finish.

When you powder the entire wheel you will have to sand off the back hub otherwise they won't fit on properly.

I almost bought a powder coated set that had a foot long or so scratch from mounting a tire so it can happen, and from what was said on Facebook there's no way to repair it other than sanding/coating the wheel again.

Do you mind sharing where you had this done? I'm in Austin as well and looking to powder coat some TRD OR wheels and looking for recommendations.
