    Hello all,

I have been on the site since I got my 2014 tundra back in August. Had the opportunity to see how amazing the group of guys and gals on this site really are. Now I am here seeking some advice on wheel offset.

So a little back story on myself, I am not new to Toyota's nor am I new to modifications but wheels and tires is uncharted waters. My first vehicle was a 95 4Runner 2wd with an 1.5" lift and 31's and from that moment I was hooked. Since then I've had 2 more 4Runner's, a Honda Civic, and most recently an 05 Tundra Limited double cab.

My 2014 is so amazing, I love every moment that I get to drive it. Its an SR5 with the column shift which was not as easy as you would think to locate around me.

Today I got my Bilstein's 6612's and 5160's and they have got me so stoked. I was also lucky enough to pick up some 1.5" lift shackles from a member on here. The last 4Runner I had was a 2000 Limited with Bilstein's on all 4 corners with Toytec coils front and rear. What a capable little rig.

    So on with the questions...

I already have determined that 295/70R18's wont be a problem if I run the front at 2.5" clip but am unsure about wheel offset's. I am hoping there is someone here that could chime in. I am looking at running Black Rhino Roku wheels which have +12 offset. I see a lot of you guys running a very similar set up and tire size but with +25 offset wheel. Should I go with a wheel with more offset or will +12 be enough?

Now I have read enough threads to know that you all are going to blow me up about an ACTUAL picture of my truck. I am happy to oblige tomorrow when i can snap a picture in the daylight after I wash all the salt and dirt off it. Believe it or not i saw a PRO tonight leaving the gym running 295's and that's what sparked the question. Any help is great thanks in advanced.

And for any one who might be interested

Hey Evan. It's hard to say for sure as there are other factors like caster, exact tire specs, trucks vary slightly, etc. You may need a CMC but that's really not a big deal, the lower the offset the more necessary it becomes. So, +25 is kinda the sweet spot but at +28 with 295s I needed the CMC 'cause I had roughly 4* of caster from the aftermarket UCAs.

Same tire size here, also 2.5”, but +18 and I had to push the front fender liner forward. Basically undo whatever bolts from underneath, soften up the liner with a heat gun and roll it with a bat to push it as forward as possible. You’ll notice without heat/roll you can already move it forward. Marker and drill new holes in the plastic adjacent to the old ones to line up with the existing bolt receivers and use the same bolts that were keeping the liners in place. At +12, it’s not likely you’ll need BMC/CMC in addition to liner mod but every truck sits different after alignment.

Note the stock tire is about 11” wide and +60. A 295/70R18 is about 11.8” wide and you would be extending it out another 48mm at +12 (every 25mm is 1”)
