Hey all, I've owned my 2015 Tundra Crewmax for about a year and need a place to learn about all the good aftermarket stuff, as well as some of the technical bits (like backwards compatible parts between years of the same generation. )

I've been working on Lexus products for about ten years now and I'm beyond familiar with the Toyota product overall. Will be glad to lend my experience and knowledge to the DIY crowd. Also have access to Toyota technical manuals...

    Welcome from SIn City!

I’d be interested to know where’s the best place to get a speaker wiring schematic for the 3rd gen tundras. SPecifically the model year 16, in case they’re different.

I'd have to look into it when I get into work. It's probably pretty straight forward. What speakers were you going to change?

A little of this and a little of that.

I ordered some Focal component for the front and rear doors and an EQ to go with my subs. If it’s too much trouble don’t worry about it, I am mostly curious in case we need to solder in the tweeters cause they don’t come with wire harnesses. I’m having it professionally installed but was going to help the guy since he is a friend and going to do it in my driveway.

Edit: I’m having him disconnect the dash speakers alltogether as well. The stock speakers just suck.

I've done something similar without a schematic. My wife's old Hyundai Santa fe, I installed two ways in and soldered the factory connectors to the new speaker leads. Just hook them up and test them before reassembly. If it sounds wrong, just snip the wires, flip them and solder them again. Alternately you could take a multi meter and see which wire is your positive as you go through it, just turn it to accessory and see which wire is hot.
