$32k for a Tundra Platinum Crew Cab with only 23k miles. Does the information at the end about the damage warrant an issue? I'm know that they only issue a salvage title if the damage is worth more than the truck itself.

    Your thoughts please...

    Lost track after #1.
Salvage/rebuilt/etc titles halve the value at a minimum instantly in my book. Hard pass this one on price alone.

Pass. Price is too close to non-salvage used ones.

Nothing wrong with getting a salvage as long as you'll keep it forever. But for this kind of money I wouldn't.

Roger that. I think I'll pass, especially they are calling it a 1794 edition, which it clearly is not. I'll have to save more money and get a used platinum at end year when I have more money.

LOL! I know right. Then he is saying it's a 1794 edition. I don't see any mailbag brown leather in there. :)

You may have issues getting insurance for it also, so I would look into that part before you drop $$’s

Lots of salesmanship in that add. With others, not at that price. maybe 5k less.

Something doesn't pass the stink test. I don't see any physical damage. I bet it was a flood car or they left the roof open. Anyone have the ability to pull a carfax?

Ha, Just looked at the details. It was hit twice, 2 years apart in the rear. NFW

I’d be cautious. Offer a lot less, because the carfax is never going away.

I had an 07 Camry-commuter, high miles, but in excellent condition. In 2016, it was hit for a third time, t-boned by an F-150. I figured they would total it, but instead the insurance company paid to rebuild the entire rear quarter of the car, including the suspension and wheel. The repairs were WAY above the cars value, so it wound up on the car fax, and I bathed in poo during the trade in.

The repairs were solid, and a lot of the car got repainted, so the car looked almost factory new. Wouldn’t have been a big deal if I kept the car for years, but at 11 years in the same vanilla sedan, I was ready for a change.

Sucks because there was no question- I was not at fault in the least.

Don't buy it. It looses at least 1/3 of the value with a branded title. Most likely you can't get full coverage insurance. Most banks will not finance. There is no factory warranty for anything.

Lots of fine print in that ad. Seller says he will text or email pics of truck before repaired, you should ask for those.

I would personally avoid like the plague.

Pass! I paid 37600 for a new one (not platinum, but still). Don't think the headache of a salvage truck is worth $32k. Offer him 5000.

    Jesus!

I buy and rebuild salvage titled trucks. This cat is looking for a very uneducated buyer with deep pockets. This guy is giving us truck recyclers a bad name.

At that price, you would be way ahead buying new.

In 2016... I got a 2015 crewmax with 16k miles and same rear damage for 21k. I would say it's too much $ sir.
