I met a guy/kid in the parking lot of our local mountain bike trail-head yesterday. Was admiring his truck and we got to talking. He said that his dad develops toyota paint colors out of Huntington Beach. Bla Bla Bla... this paint is named for him, this one for his sister... bla bla bla.

He then showed me a pic of what he said is the 2020 DUALIE. HMMmmmm....

It looked a lot like the 3rd gen, but with a somewhat larger front hood/grille area. It was a bit more angular though, but did retain the honeycomb grille insert. Looked like the rest was updated/new body styling. And yes, it was also a dualie.

I shoulda taken a pic of his phone since...
    :worthless:

Anyone heard similar rumors or seen any pre-production shots?
I looked in the 4th gen thread, but it wasn't anything like those pics. This was very 3rd gen looking with a bit sharper corners/angles. He said they were taking a page from the new GMC trucks (which btw are :der:).

:crapstorm:My daughter called me today telling me that she was in an argument with someone because if this. It is some out fit in California (I think) but a long story short these are just concept picture on a CAD. There are two of them out there and they have been out there for a good long while now. The discussion went so far that whoever she was talking to even told her about the Diesel engine that was going to be used in this. Real CAD drawings but not real Tundras!!

I gave him some credence on this because we get a LOT of concept/pre-production vehicles around here (many car companies have a presence in south Irivne).
In fact, I just snapped this pic last night:AM.jpg

As it came up behind me, I thought it might be a Supra, but then I saw the 4 doors and now I'm thinking Aston Martin or Fisker. (I've seen other Aston Martin test vehicles locally in the past.

    Yeah... Aston Martin for sure.
    Notice the wheels.

    Could be a Karma Revero.

Doubtful. Windows aren't the same and notice the light in the front wheel well on the concept.

You were right. It's a Karma for sure. They have nearly identical wheels to the AM and the rear window is the exact same as the test vehicle I spied.
We also have a LOT of Fisker's around here as well.

I went into their build site and its hilarious how many of their "Names" come from OC/SoCal.

Anza & Borrego are Exterior colors. As are Corona Del and Mar Pacifico (Corona Del Mar = Local beach town)
Crystal Cove, Salt Creek and Coronado (SD) interior colors... All local beaches.

That's really cool that you all get to see those fairly regularly. It's always fun trying to decode what it is.

That's interesting that they went with local names.

Look's like a Fisker Karma Revero. Chinese owner picked up the company after they failed and are continuing to build, sans all the issues from before and they are based in Irvine.

I was in Starbucks the other day and I over heard a conversation. One guy was saying that his father knows the cleaner who works at Honda and his cousin delivers donuts to the toyota factory in texas. The donut guy said there's going to be a fourth gen.

All just bunch of BS and hype. Most of us were anticipating the "big" Tundra news at the Detroit Auto Show and guess what...……………………..nothing. I guess we'll wait another year. Way to go Toyota!
