get the bushwacker extenda flares, the ones without the stupid fake rivets in them. They do help considerably with mud, dirt, etc and provide enough coverage for your tires.

I have these, they are bushwaker knock offs I acquired from a trade so I don’t even know what brand they are but they definitely help. It’s not 100% but will keep your truck cleaner.i can take a side shot later if you would like

Damn bro. The rims with the sand paint are sick. Good looking truck. I wanted a sand 4 runner when they came out but couldn’t get my hands on one. But ya the flares help a lot. With the bushwackers a +25 offset sits pretty close to flush. I have the bushwackers ,method grids 18x9 +25 offset with 35x12r18 nitto ridge grapplers. Hope that helps. Well the fender flares only work well if the tires don’t poke past them. Flush or less works efficiently. I don’t see why the rough country ones won’t work the same as long as it’s for 2014+

Ever thought of a good quality mud flap?

Even with fender flares, most road debris will end up all over the side of your truck.

Are you going to paint match the flares or leave black ? I have had thoughts to color match mine but idk I kinda like the black on white look .O and just my opinion I like the rivet flares better adds a good look not just plain .

I kinda like white so I am going to paint them. This is reference pic. This guy got rough country fender flares and painted them. But black also looks good.

I have a set of bushwacker flares. I paid a guy to paint then. He didnt do a very good job. So now they need sanded some and will be ready for paint again. Im not installing them anymore because i really just dont like the look of them. If anyone is interested i would let them go pretty cheap if you pay shipping.

Bushwacker owns the Stampeder brand. Decent flares at less cost. Different versions although not as much pocket as the Bushwacker pocket style. I have the Stampeders. The pocket width turned out just right for my tires. Depends on how much your tires stick out. The flaps that @ColoradoTJ referenced are a nice way to go too.

Pros and Cons to installing fender flares.
Pro ~ Optics, beneficial for wheel stance enhancement, designed purpose for off-roading.
Cons ~ initial cost factor, added paint match factor, damage/wear to fender paint.

Most people will stay away from flares for these three primary 'Con' reasons.
Fender flares rely on existing fender screw locations to support the flare, allowing the top portion of the flare to rest against the outer fender. Therefore, it utilizes a rubber compound to semi-seal the flare to the vehicle.
Wind resistance, vibrations, general road to vehicle motion and trapped atmospheric debris cause abrasion between the two surfaces. A sandpaper effect.

So, proper methods, prior to installation, can relieve severe paint damage, if this concerns you.
Make sure you take extra time and care before you permanently install flares. Any preventative measure will result in lasting results.

Here, are a few methods that will keep your paint from premature wear, all it takes is a little more time but worth the effort.

    1) Flexible protection barrier: (You will have to mount the flare to properly locate the tapes position) Using painters tape, a smaller width generally works better here, select a distance of approximately 1/8" above the flare mounting seal and follow the contour of it all the way around. Remove the flare, you now have a stencil of where the protection tape will mount beneath. Clean the area under this tape with rubbing alcohol, make sure its dry and then attach 3-M film or similar protection tape (5/8" wide), along the inside lines of the painters tape. Corners and arches are tricky so take your time. Now you permanently mount the flare and remove the painters tape stencil or leave it on for the next step. Remaining, is a thin strip of protection tape above the flare. 'Centring' of the tape would leave a more noticeable edge so the choice is yours.

    2) Added protection barrier: A flexible RTV silicon can keep any road, weather or atmospheric debris from entering the area between the flares rubber seal and paint. Make a stencil again with painters tape and follow the contour of fender or flare or both, achieving a gap or width 1/8" past each side of the rubber. This is where the ATV silicon is applied. Once set you can remove all tape stencils and enjoy the look and function of these protected flares.

    3) Depending on how you use, drive or play with your vehicle, it may become necessary after a few years? to remove and inspect the fender flares, plus maybe repeating the process. Remember, these steps only help prevent not cure the effects of abrasive conditions. Is it worth repainting your fenders or have them last?

There may be plenty of other methods for ensuring protection to the vehicles paint job so pick which one(s) you're comfortable with installing.

    Cheers
