That makes more sense, but I've never recorded this before. I assume I can run my scan tool on my way into work tomorrow and it will give me a readout?

    @LOTSOFTOYS

Ok, here's the readings from this morning. They mean nothing to me.

Edit: from the research I've been able to do, negative FT numbers point to a dripping injector which then send the other cylinders running lean. Wondering if an additive could fix this or if I need to pop them out and clean/replace them.

So long term fuel trim is how the engine is running. A negative number is the ecu backing fuel off. A positive number is the ecu adding. Anything over 25% either direction would alarm me... yours seems fine

Question: I installed a TRD cold air intake, and want to get rid of the annoying "whistle". I plan on replacing the throttle body gasket with the screen with either the Sequoia gasket (no screen) or just cut out the screen. My question is, why is there a screen in the first place? Do I risk anything by eliminating it?
Also, does anyone know if I add a tb spacer, and left in the stock gasket, would it help the whistle problem, or make it worse?
    Thanks.

Yes, thanks I've read the thread. Just want to know what I'll be risking to replace the gasket with no screen? Why isn't there one on the Sequoia?

Truck is running rough. Air intake is cleaned. Brand new ignition coils but was driving in the rain a few days after and started misfiring. Truck does see a lot of water but never sunk. And ignition coils has been the problem before. (02 with 262,xxx miles)

Honeymoon was epic man. We had a great time. I was gonna post some pics in my build thread but I'll do some here. We took a few different tours around different towns. Learned alot, saw a lot of really cool animals as well. Highlight of the trip was the worlds lingest zipline!

I have an issue, a 2005 Toyota Tundra Limited, about a year ago I noticed that it acted as if the throttle seemed to close at some throttle settings under a medium load. Creates a feeling like I would be backing off the throttle and right back on. Does not do it under high power, putting the pedal way down or on light pressure. Toyota said it was the air pump, they changed it, problem not solved, AAMCO rebuilt the transmission, problem not solved. Could it be in the Throttle Position Sensor or MAP sensor? Or ?????

Thats a very odd concern. Is there a check engine light? Id say start simple. Clean your thottle body up real good and disconnect your battery. Touch the neg and pos together for 10 mins. This clears all memory, even better than simply disconnecting the battery.

Cleaned the throttle body. No change. Are you say to short the battery? To clear the battery.

Never made it to Chichagof Island. Crazy beautiful place. Tongass Nat'l Forest. Juneau climate is pretty much rain forest temporate. Big ass Spruce trees. Alaska is so crazy big. I'm thinking you two are already planning your next trip up there. Toyota Dealer mechs probably make decent money up there. (Especially if you have some experience installing lifts.) Truly "serious" offroading up there!! :mudding:

Here's a none mechanical question. More like advice question.
My 2015 has 18k miles on it.
    1. Am I wasting my money buy adding fuel injector cleaner to the gas tank at this point?
    2. Does that stuff really work?
    3. If so what brand do you recommend, or are they all the same?

Yes wasting money. Truck is still brand new lol. Wait until your 30k sevice. Then go every 30k after that. I don't have a preference on brands... bg, Lucas oil. U get what u pay for

Thanks That's what I figured. What if I don't always use tier 1 fuel? Still every 30k miles?

Yeah... if ur worried about it go every 15k. There are plenty of people with over 200k miles that haven't added a drop of additives....
