Hi new to this sight wonder i anyone experienced any of these issues.First off its a 06 4x4 4.7 when I turn the key to start her up it fires automatically in the on position without engaging the starter.( it doesnt run through diagnostics and the then manually start after i engage the ignition. It cleared up for a while now it up to its old tricks...perhaps a starter relay?
second last night at work when I turned off the key the daylight running lights stayed on I had to disconnect the battery. After work it cleared itself up.Its now doing it again.
    Any ideas or help appreciated....

Sounds like the ignition switch is screwed up. That would cause both of the issues you're having.

Is your ignition loose at all? Other than that it sounds like wires are touching where they shouldn't.

First post but I've been on the site for a while. I know this is a late reply but if your windshield has recently been replaced that could be your issue if water is working its way down behind the dash. This exact thing happened to me - got the folks back out to redo the windshield and it went away. I assume it went away for you when everything dried up then you washed it or it rained again...

    Good luck
