So I decided to install some flood lights on my rear bumper. I had a set of Rigid Ignite flush pods in my 17' Tacoma which are smaller than this, so I decided bigger truck, bigger rear lights!!:muscleflexing: and went with the Rigid SR-M Pro. So Here is how I did it. Sorry didn't took many pictures I always get carried on what I'm doing and forget to take pictures.:notsure:
This are the lights I bought:
    https://www.rigidindustries.com/sr-m-series-pro-flood-black-flush-mount-922113.html
    Things you will need:
-20ft outdoor rated cable at least 18-2 gauge
    -relay
    -weather proof connectors
-2- Rigid SR-M PRO lights with the lens of your choice or any other light you can fit.

First started marking the area after measuring from behind. There are metal plates behind the plastic trim but I didn't wanted to deal with cutting the metal sheets so looked for an open area in the plastic trim and dremelled the hole. If you feel like cutting metal you can place them anywhere in that plastic trim area. The lights come with the template.

IMG_1904.jpgYou should end up with something like this.
IMG_1906.jpg They don't seat perfectly flushed because of the curve on the bumper but nothing that is noticeable. They come with a rubber gasket that helps with that.

    Now to the wiring:
I have the factory bed lights and the pop-n-lock tailgate lock so I already know which route was I going to take. At first I thought of going thru de driver side all the way to the front but when I went underneath the truck noticed there is nothing but fuel/brake lines going on that side and the exhaust is pretty close to the frame. I wouldn't recommend strapping anything to this lines as break lines get hot and everything is pretty close to the exhaust pipe you might end up with a melted cable and a short. So decided on going with the existing wire loom route thru the passenger side, is more protected. You are going to need about 20ft of some outdoor rated cable at least 18-2 gauge. I used outdoor shielded 18-2 cable.
The lights come with deutsch connectors( see picture above) so you have to cut and splice the connectors to the 18-2 cable and weather protect those connections, I used heat shrink tubing for that matter.
After you have your cable ready to come in thru the passenger side grommet. Drill your hole in the grommet and route your cable from the passenger side to the drivers side underneath the carpet near the firewall. You have to remove both passenger and drivers kick panels.

I decided I wanted this lights turning on with the bed lights with he ability to turn them on or off if I didn't want them with the bed lights.
I installed a relay for them since this lights are pretty heavy on power consumption and already have my bed lights directly to the third brake bed light didn't want to overload that circuit anyway is always good to wire any lights thru relays.
    Driver side kick panel:

After all of this installed my switch. Had a foglight switch around since my rear lights switch hasn't arrived and will not be removing the drivers side panels again used that one and left it half way in so when the rear lights switch arrives is only matter of pulling it out and pushing the new one in.

With this I choose the rear lights turn on with the bed lights or not. The rear lights can only turn on with the bed lights. Ypou can always wire them directly to a switch if you want them like that. I like my lights turning on when I unlock the doors with the remote key.
    End result:

As any rigid light, the light output on this things is amazing. Enough to light everything behind you or reminding the person behind you they have their high beams on
    Very happy with them!!
Any questions feel free to ask.

I want to put some in the top of my tailgate so I can turn them on when people behind me are driving with their brights on.

Yeah, but it's too low. If they're close enough they can just blot it out w/their hood. I want it high enough that even if they put down their sun visors the light will still bounce off their hood as a big FU.

Off topic, but I like that driveway and pebbled entry into the garage.

Haha I've already been that route. Had a long travel 13' tacoma, fun AF. Too much money invested. No that much time to really enjoy it. I'm doing my research for the Tundra, got a couple of things in mind.
