That is one of the first things I complained about on my truck and want to black it all out. I was told I was the first they ever heard that was blinded by the chrome... I have a harley too and I hate chrome!

Funny how the base model interior is far and away better looking than higher end models.

Has anyone here completely blacked out their interior ? I am looking at dying roof liner and all the Pillar plastic to black...I really hate 2 tone interiors. My last 3 Raptors were all black.
I got a quote from a interior repair specialist at $1200 Canadian or about $900 US to remove dye and reinstall all the pieces. Was just wondering if anyone has done this yet and how well it held up...I guess the headliner and plastic trim don't really get touched much so should probably hold up.

Haven't gotten that far into looking at completely backing out interior. I've added the ajt designs a/c controls.
I'll add some pictures up tomorrow.

I've got some pictures in previous posts. From what I remember the piece under the glove box took me a while to figure out. Some of the clips were very stubborn. And not really knowing where to pry made it harder. The two side vents on passenger and driver side are very easy to remove. Same with the trim above the glove box. Most of these parts need to be removed to gain access to the center panel. Just take your time and get some plastic pry tools and you'll be good.

Love that he made the a/c control knobs. Just went with the standard black. Also snagged a key fob!

Painted the vent rings, HU surround, steering wheel control covers and center console trim. If I was to dye the ceiling, I’d probably want to sound proof up there like I did the doors and rear already. But I’m not sure what would hold up on the flexible pillar trim. In the fall I’ll probably tackle the door trim.Yes, they should come this way!

I want mine to look like that. I hate all forms of silver or chrome inside. Did you remove the HU trim surround to paint it? Or left it on? What paint?

Amazing work! We're going to need a lot more info. I like the contrasting black between the center console and vent rings. Could you do a thread on this with the full paint list?

I took it apart, I think there's a YouTube vid, it's mostly those yellow clips. Buy trim tools off Amazon. I used Rustoleom primer/paint for plastic. Everything is Flat Black Primer except the HU surround which is Satin Canyon Black.

This is what the surround looks like removed (someone here did red rings):

The tufskinz overlays fully wraps around the vent rings so u dont see any chrome looking to get those after I paint my console I'm thinking of going with black or white to match the truck

The airbag assembly comes out, look up NK1794's steering wheel replacement vid. That emblem cannot be removed. I masked it off and used Plastidip, peeled away the same as when people do exterior emblems, got all the inside out with a toothpick.

Last October. Powder it on, several coats. All good, what's not holding up is the TRD shifter, I've had to redo that, didn't sand it enough, might buy an OEM black one anyway. Oh, sand the dash parts first, fine grit. I never did so much on a vehicle before owning a Tundra lol, I enjoy it, customizing, changing oil etc.

One thing, Satin Canyon Black shows dust unlike Flat Black.

^Thanks! I wonder how many would prefer an OEM SR black dash in our Tundras:

I agree, it'll hulk green just by looking at it. I've done this, and used vaseline but OEM quality is bad.

Tried it and have two dull spots. Used dyes, Vaseline, shoe polish, etc. Maybe I'll try and have it blessed by Shaman.. Lol
