I used to live in Willington back in the mid 90's. Great place to get away from it all.

On my third Tundra! One SR5 and two Platinums. I haven’t had an issue with any of my trucks. I will stay with Toyota from now on.

I no longer own a Tundra, but would recommend one in a NY minute. The best 1/2 ton in the market in my opinion.

Had a 99 F150, left me stranded only once with my boat. Before I sold it, a new AC system, and maintenance items of course. Seemed to have electrical Gremlins now that I look back for years, I believe due to leaky windshield. Turns out Ford had a TSB on that era of F150s. Never informed me about it of course. Electrical Gremlins progressed to the point of not knowing if it would start or shut down while on the highway. Replaced the windshield, and dried out the electrical. Everything seemed to work again. Lost confidence in the truck as I go to remote areas in WA. Looked at new Fords, but did not need all the electrical gizmos they add to their trucks. Decided to look at Toyota after my son bought a used Tacoma. Damn high resale values on these Toyota trucks... Anyway, wife and I looked at taco but decided it was too small, no electric adj seats etc... Decided on Tundra Limited TRD. One of the best vehicles we have purchased. Use it to tow our small pop up, about 2000 lbs. Not a problem of course. A big seller was the CM has lots of leg room, my wife loves the room.

The only problem is reading all the modifications Tundra owns do. It's contagious. But a lot of fun.

Gas milage.... Tundra gets better gas milage than the old ford ever got. No complaints from me as I am retired so do not rack up commute miles.

@g6t9ed how many km’s (Or miles) would you get per tank on your 08?
I have an 08 and I’m getting around 450km per tank. Mostly highway (so that’s 270 miles!)
    I have a 3” lift and 35” tires and 20” rims.
I know this truck is thirsty, but I’ve recently gone back to college and now that I’m not used to a consistent pay check, I’m realizing how much money is going through this thing.

Welcome from AZ. We generally change vehicles every 3 years basically based on changes in needs. Toyotas in general are fairly bullet proof. The platform is an archaic design well overdue for a redesign. Engine and transmission really need to be updated to a more efficient design.

Welcome from Kansas City!! For my Tundra I only have 8k miles but have done one road trip on it and towed with the truck a few times already. I have to say this is the best Half ton I have ever owned, the best Gas engine I have towed with so far, a damn fine comfy road trip machine, etc. I have had zero issues with mine at all and would recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone.

Hey Yoda111, my '08 didn't have any major upgrades other than a K&N rewashable filter and a MagnaFlow dual exhaust. My tires were 255/70/18 with the stock alloy wheels and it was only 2-wheel drive. I changed my own oil every 6-7k miles with OEM filter and Mobil1. I would use regular gasoline and was mediocre about my acceleration efficiency. My digital readout stated I would get around 14.5 MPG (6.16 KM/L).

I can't remember what I would get per tank, but yeah I agree that you are getting pretty low mileage out of your tank. The lift and tires appear to be your biggest culprit.
