Power Step and Rock Sliders

I have a plan, may be a terrible plan, but I have a plan. I currently have power steps but I want use rock sliders when I go to Colorado...or anywhere for serious wheeling. May be a couple of times a year. Ever heard of anyone doing temporary swaps between power steps and rock sliders.

I'd want to reinstall my power steps when I get back.

 

I have not heard of anyone one doing that.
Your time, your money. If your going to do all of that work just leave the sliders on.
Or leave the power steps on and stay away from stuff here that may cause rocker damage. Not being snarky, just giving optiions.

I need the steps for my small kids and...small wife. Once or twice a year I'd swap them out. Most sliders I see are a little too high for my kids unless you guys know of some kind of hybrid slider that includes steps.

 

All depends on how serious offroading you want to do if you need those rock sliders, or not. With the Tundra I would be more worried about the back end of the truck because of its low departure angle as compared to the approach angle.

 

Find sliders that the amp steps will retract above and extend below. The power steps should be completely hidden while driving, and only extend when you open the door.
Installing both simultaneously is completely feasible.
