So I finally got around to hooking up my brand new 18 foot Coleman camper to my 2016 5.7 Crewmax and it’s shows like it’s hooked up and the lights work. I only have However when I attempt to hit the brakes it never registers on the bar on the trailer screen in between my gauge cluster that shows it’s giving any brakes the the trailer. Even though I’m almost positive that it’s electric brakes, I switched it to electric over hydraulic and it only shows full brake or none at all.

    Any thoughts?

On my truck the bar only registers when you manually apply the trailer brakes with the slide lever, if I'm just braking the truck with my foot the bar doesn't show anything.

There has been a on going problem with the OEM brake controller. Most people switch to the P3 Brake controller.

Agreed, mine isn't all that great I never really feel its doing much. Wonder why it is so hard for Toyota to get the brake controller right? I mean this isn't new technology for trucks its been around a while, and while they are late to the game getting them in there truck it shouldn't be this hard I wouldn't think.

I almost bought a OEM on Craigslist for $25 until I read about them on here
