Can I put 2019 CrewMax Running Boards on 2016 SR5 Double Cab?

I recently purchased a 2016 SR5 Double Cab that does not have running boards. I am looking for black running boards, preferably with rubber coating on top, and would like them to extend behind the rear doors so I can step on the boards to access the bed of the truck. I have looked at Westins Sure-Grip, Ionic Gladiators, Toyota OEM Cast Aluminum Running Boards Part Number: PT76734160 which will fit, and Toyota OEM CrewMax Part Number: PT92534183 that is not a fit per Toyota.

I am leaning towards the CrewMax PT92534183, but because they are for a 2019, I don’t know if they will bolt up easily. I think these should bolt up easily on my 2016 SR5 DC with no problem and will extend behind the rear doors, which I prefer. They are 93 inches long. Does any one have any info if this will work or not work? Toyota is only showing that they will fit on a Crewmax. Are there different mounting holes on a Crewmax than on a Double Cab, and if so, does it matter if there is adjustability of the fit of the boars that should slide forward or rearward where the bolts hold the boards? Here is a link:

Has any one put 93 inch CrewMax boards on a Double Cab? Is there any difference in the mounting brackets, and bolt hole alignment for the brackets or boards? Does any one have any pictures or suggestions.

As an alternative, I do also like the Toyota OEM Cast Aluminum Running Boards Part Number: PT76734160. These will fit my 2016 SR5 DC, but I don’t know if they are rubber coated on top or just rough aluminum surfaced. Here is a link:

    Thanks,

The mounting points are different, so if it says it’s for a crewmax then it won’t fit your double cab and vice versa. Good luck!

Thanks. What I was not sure of was if there are specific bolt holes on the bottom of the boards that marry up with the brackets, or (hopefully) if the bolts under the boards are in a sliding rail that would allow the board to be moved, adjusted forward or rearward.
