My wife has no interest in driving mine. She will drive on long road trips where it's interstate. A friend of mine wife steals his Tundra all the time. She makes him drive her Subaru outback. I like to give him a hard time about it.

We taught our oldest to drive a manual - she loves it. As long as we can keep finding ones in decent shape, our two younger ones will learn the manual as well.
My wife's new car has all that new-fangled self-drive, self-park crap on it. While it is sort of neat, I won't ever let my kids use that stuff in one of our vehicles until they have learned to do it on their own.

Been lurking and keeping quiet, spending time up at our property. How are you doing? Sorry about your truck, glad you and your grandson were not hurt.

Same. Says it's too big and she can't see out the back due to cap. She WILL drive it on occasion to the boat ramp or back with empty trailer, but never with the boat on the trailer, which is fine.

Of course. All men think women who drive a truck are hot.

Nope. My wife drives a 4Runner that she is in love with so really has no desire to drive my truck. Although she did take my truck around the block once. She smiled like a little kid when she floored it and heard the exhaust.

I love my wife dearly but she struck-out on my last truck:
    • Strike-1: added a 6' white "recessed" pinstripe courtesy of our mailbox when cutting the turn too sharp. :eek2:
    • Strike-2: Ran it out of gas on the interstate. :eek2: :eek2:
    • Strike-3: Drove home in 4L ... on the interstate at highway speeds. :eek2: :eek2: :eek2:
    Other dishonorable mentions:
    • Multiple door dings when "squeezing" into tight mall parking spaces. :eek2:
    • Similarly, she once handed my keys to a stranger when she parked herself in and couldn't get back out. :eek2:
    • Inevitable food wrapper & crumb litter left behind. :eek2:

^^^ and yes, she was completely sober!

My wife doesn't drive mine unless her Armada is in the shop and she needs to go somewhere. She knows I'm picky about my Tundra and I park away from everyone all the time to avoid possible door dings, etc. I don't think she likes all the "rules" that come with driving my truck.

In a pinch and on road trips she will drive it but regularly no. She's a fine driver but when we go anywhere she prefers I drive 99.9% of the time.

If it’s easier than switching car seats she’ll drive it, or to make a quick run to the store. Long distances it’s just me

My wife refuses to drive the truck because of its size, which is probably good. Given how much she steps on it in her Corolla, our fuel budget would be through the roof if she used the Tundra. Also, she mostly does short trips in the city so I'd rather put those hard miles on a vehicle that will be cheaper to eventually replace.
