Anybody have any idea where to start looking to keep mice out of the inside of my CM? The door seals are all intact, the filter for the HVAC hasn't been chewed through. I don't know how the sucker gets in. But he tore up a bunch of kleenex from a box under the seat, looking to make a nest, I presume. And not really sure there's any way to prevent it from getting in. But I'm open to suggestions. Right now I've just put out 8 traps all over the garage. Mostly by the doors.

yep bank account is running low from it..
Check all the rubber boots/ drain holes, under the cab, back side of the cab and in engine compartment...

They like to chew on the rubber at times I guess it's soft..

I had one get in a Corolla I had, couldn't figure out where it got in. The thing died somewhere in the dash, never found it. Stunk for a while, no fun.

Those suckers are very small and can fit in amazingly small places. Don't do poison or you will end up with a dead one in the dash like Mototundta. Traps for getting rid of them is correct. Not sure how to prevent them getting in the truck.

I had a cat that liked to use his carrier as a litterbox. Pee only, fortunately. We had a towel in there and kept the door open so the cat would get used to it. We noticed the smell from the carrier about the same time we heard some scratching from the attic. I took the urine soaked towel out of the carrier and threw it in the attic. The scratching stopped and hasn't returned (knock on wood). You can find fox urine at most feed stores and some hardware stores. If you don't have a cat that will pee on command, a little fox urine on a rag under the truck might chase the critters away.

Ok this sounds weird to city folk;) but seriously pee around your vehicles, boats and campers. My grandpa has practiced the method for decades and his son and me-all the while we've never had a critter get in. Proceed with caution if you live in town.

All righty.....thanks folks. Lots of thing to try here. Garage is a separate metal outbuilding.....impossible to keep the little varmints out, but I try to keep 'em under control, and out of the vehicles.

"Mice can easily find their way indoors. An adult mouse can squeeze through a gap smaller than ½ inch and young mice can gain entrance to buildings through even smaller openings."

I can confirm that caution is advised. Community Service time made sure that I didn't forget.

Have you checked the outside rear of the cab to see if they've chewed through the oval plastic covers?

That's a lot of pee to make a full circle around a truck. Nothing a couple beers couldn't fix.
