I am in search for a firmware or software update file for the entune radio audio plus version in my tundra. It is Model ID 13TDDANA-DA00. I know I can take it to the dealer but I know this can be done with a USB drive and the file and don't see paying them 150 to do so. Does anyone have access to TIS and would be able to download the file for or files for me so I can update my radio?

It has obviously been a long time with no response. What did you end up doing?

I have done a lot of research as well and come up empty for firmware and or software updates online, which seems weird for a 3 year old platform.

I'm in the same rig as you I believe. 2015 SR5 w/ the Entune Audio Plus. Trying to squeeze every bit of capability out of it that I can.

    Thanks

    Thanks.

I had previously investigated that route and site. When I go through the process of inputing year and model of the stereo, no update options show available. Certainly implies that they have not updated firmware or software for the 2015 entune audio plus system since 2015. Seems impossible to believe, but I’ve run out of ideas of where to search.

I have seen that there is an update for the entune premium, and that the premium does update the app suite. I just cannot find anywhere that the plus system has updates.

Last update came through my phone. It prompted me every time my phone connected until I updated it. Have you tried that way?

Have you connected your phone via Bluetooth and the Entune app to see if you pull an OTA update that way? I had found a USB update file for my wife's 2012 Camry a while back that someone had posted to Dropbox, but I was nervous hooking that up and hosing it. Luckily it all went well in my case.

I don't know what the funtional differences would be, but you could try the process with the 2016 Plus version. You should get an error if it's not compatible. I take no responsibility if you brick it when you listen to my misguided advice though...

I seem to remember when I did my update, the 14 and 15 were the same. I scored this deck last year for 200 bucks. The dude was honest and told me it was randomly rebooting. My rebooting issue is completely gone after I did the update. This radio works perfect. Here is the update number, hopefully it will help someone.

tried using the entune app on my phone, but it wont let me create an account because the VIN shows its not compatible with the app suite.

getting down to the last resort of calling support to find out if im wasting my time. it’s nothing urgent. just dont want to keep snipe hunting.

I don't mean to hijack your thread but I'm having the same issue. I just bought a new Tundra 2019 with Entune Audio Plus but neither of the Entune apps in the Apple store communicate with my system. I'm starting to think I need Entune Premium to use the iOS apps. The VIN shows up as non-compatible. I was hoping there would be some way to add the Slacker app to my Radio so I can control it from the radio itself instead of my phone.

    Got a feeling I'm SOL.

    Pretty new to the site...

I just got rid of my 2006 Tundra that I had put a Kenwood head unit in.. all pandora controls were on the head unit, very nice, very easy... I can’t believe with as nice as my 2018 Tundra is, this radio has so many flaws.. pandora via BT stinks bc you have to look at your phone to like/dislike a song... also when I’m playing audio via USB stick, I cannot skip to the next folder/artist with my steering wheel controls or the head unit... I have to hit browse on the head unit and back out to the root folder every time I want to change artist folder, am I missing something?

The manufacturer's get heavy pressure to leave aspects of their new vehicles for the after market to support. And technically.............GET RIGHT. I know. I know. GM & others have head units THAT ROCK. Different folks get different pressures.

Then we can argue about Price Points for new trucks.

    Sigh.

And from what I understand, Entune supported Pandora until November last year... so now everyone has a useless Pandora app on their radio that doesn’t do anything... awesome.

All that I can say is my 2018 tundra entune , never connects to Bluetooth the same way. every one should call Toyota and complain and to replace head units to new 2020 units. I have difficulty seeing screen in the sunlight also. dangerous while driving. and poor sound quality.

Think there are two versions of the Entune app in the Apple store. The old one that I had for the 4Runner didn't work with either of the new 2019 Tundras - had to download it again for the new version.
The newest (that I used with the 2019 Tundras) is Entune 3.0. My first 2019 Tundra had the premium package and the second one that replaced it has the plus package.

I'm curious if anyone has had issues with trying to use Slacker since it was renamed LiveXLive.

That's about right, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. As the latest update file for my 2018 truck has a date of 2017 on it, I'm thinking it doesn't cover the name change...

I know this is an older thread but I've found that the USB won't be recognized if its formatted NTFS.

FAT32 works fine in my JBL with Nav unit.

I've also found it doesn't like USB 3.0. It works fine with this USB 2.0 64 gb

    Go figure,,,
