Finally got the chance to install the under seat storage from ESP.
Experience was really positive. I originally ordered part from vendor but then found out about a discount for being on Tundras.com. Contacted ESP and they refunded the difference that same day.

Install was easy due mainly to forums here and a quick youtube video. Total install was under 40 minutes.
I have the same complaint with the install that most others did. The template isn't ideal. Could have used the whole of the seat assembly rather than just the outermost brackets with directions that called for a 1/4 inch gap. Made the template not sit flush and I had some trepidation when cutting due to this. But measure twice and cut once was sage advice.

Separated the top carpet from the padding. Placed padding back into the cut out. Trimmed carped and placed inside the storage cubbies.

Just did mine as well and agree on the template but it was easy enough to figure out. Think it took me 30 minutes total to get this done. Great product!

Did mine, and the longest/hardest part was getting over the anxiety of running the blade through the brand new carpet.

For me it was sort of like Luke Skywalker’s reaction to Darth Vader telling Luke that he was his dad.
