I haven't made the switch yet. I have lots of life left in my Firestones so ill most likely hold out until the end of summer. And I'm on the fence now. I'm still considering the RG's but am also weighing them against the Toyo AT2's and honestly it's the weight of the RG's that's holding me back. I just can't quite wrap my head around dropping big money on tires for a certain, but unknown mileage loss and a loss of power.

Hey I am new here. I did a lot of research on trucks and picked up my 2018 Tundra. I ask for some help last month on lift ideas and with everyone info I have ordered a 6 inch RC lift with new struts up front. So now here is my other question I have a set of 295/65/20 Nitro Ridge Grappers. Can I run these with a 6 inch lift?? Also I am going to get Fuel Rims but don’t know what off set to get so the want rub. Any help please? Thanks and sorry for my stupidness.

I drove 7500 miles thru 14 states in July 2018 for two weeks coast to coast. From Cali to Montana(Yellowstone and grand Tetons) to Utah(Zion, Moab, arches National Park, toquerville falls),
then to Arizona(Grand Canyon, petrified forest national park) then all the way to Miami Florida then back to Cali. Wheeled in Moab and drove thru wicked rains in AZ and Louisiana where you couldn’t see out of your windshield dumping and no hydroplaning, flat tires or issues at all mechanically besides changing air filter after wheeling in Moab. Should have done this before I left for my trip. Love these tires. I don’t do mud but always have great traction when Offroad. Just air down to 24 psi and I’m usually good to go. Haven’t had any issues in Tahoe when going boarding either(just don’t drive like a jackass and you’re good). Best road trip ever for me. I would do it again, but for longer and more wheeling if I could.

Thanks you Jimes, the reason I ask is they was on my 2014 F-350 6.7 diesel that I traded in for my 18 Tundra. So you just run 24 PSI? Inside my door says to run 65 psi. Also do you have lift on your truck and pull a trailer? I have a pondtoon that weighs about 7500lbs. Thank you again for ur help.

I run 24 psi when off road. Makes the ride way smoother when going rocky terrain. I asked nitto directly via email about what PSI to run on my truck. This is what they responded with for even tire wear. My tires are 35x12.5r18. Ridge grapplers. The dealership put all four tires at 36 psi though. Been too lazy to air them down to see how it goes, but will do it this weekend. 30AE9C3B-0B39-4910-9249-0622C93AB4E0.jpg

Great info. Thanks again. Do you pull a trailer with the 35? I am guessing I probably don’t need the 295/65

No towing for me. Maybe one day when I buy the one toy I’ve been eye balling for a minute. SHERP atv 00B8C5FF-3C7A-4BB1-8B13-F2827F192D93.jpg

Are these A/T tires? How do they perform in the rain?

Yes, they are an A/T tire (Nitto calls it a hybrid terrain FWIW). Mine have performed extremely well in the rain. I just tested them out in the snow, slush and ice too. Was able to get the truck sideways a bit over an ice patch in 4WD, but they did very, very well in the snow and slush in 4WD. Haven't tested full on mud or sand yet. I actually like them a lot better than the BFG KO2's I had.

Thanks. Just didn’t know if I could run 35’s or I need to put 295/65/20 for the weight.

Some Mods :) See build thread for details
    Installed: 8/30/17
Starting mileage on 2012 Tundra: 60,876 miles
Ending mileage on 2012 Tundra: ~70,684 miles *last fuel-up noted
Starting mileage on 2019 Tundra: ~1,059 miles *next fuel-up noted after tire change
Ending mileage on 2019 Tundra: 34,480 miles
    Removed: 10/22/21

That is a total of ~43,229+ miles and 4 years, 1 month, 22 days

Great tires till the end. Probably should have changed them between 38,000 and 40,000 miles as I took them pretty low.
