Its Lanolin Wax based (all natural). It will stain a new driveway so use some type of cover. For the most part its a pretty tidy spray can job. Maybe a few drips.

Keep us posted on this. May be interested in trying something new. Fluid Film is working good though.

If you like the fluid film try the amsoil product. You'll never go back.

Not a shill for Amsoil are you? All jokes aside I'll try it.

    Just the opposite really.

I've never used any of their stuff until I tried this.

I'd still be using fluid film if a friend of mine didn't insist I try the amsoil stuff.

Instead of using phrases like that which mean nothing to me, do you mind explaining the difference and why it is that much better to you? Not to be a dick, but I hate when people make comments like that with nothing meaningful to add.

I'll attest to Amsoil HDMP being the best product I've ever used. It goes on very thin, finds it's way into everywhere, but within an hour you can't wipe the stuff off. It smells good. Over-spray and dripping is almost not an issue once you use it for a while.

I have been using CRC SP-400 for a few years, only because it was (or I thought it was) cheaper. When my last remaining cans of CRC are used up, I will be switching back to Amsoil indefinitely.

Any members sell Amsoil or have a hookup with a dealer? Looking for a case of HDMP.

Rubber undercoat lets salt seep through but not water. I found that out working on plow trucks. Use FF or Fog oil or any other seasonal protection product at least once a year

Nope. I simply went out and bought a case. Works great.

Oh, don't get that shit on your skin (sticky), wear a mask, spray it outside in the street, wear eye pro as well. I sprayed it in my garage and had to scrub the epoxy floor clean...it was all over the floor. It stinks for sure...enough so that I left my truck outside to air out for the first few hours.

I've used Amsoil HDMP before. I actually enjoy the smell compared to some of the alternatives.

I don't have an Amsoil dealer near me in NC. Still looking for someone that sells it.

I put a tarp down and suit up in a disposable paper suit, goggles, and mask and spray away. Takes about a gallon of FF with their spray gun. Oversprayed on one side of the tarp ‘tis year and left a line on the driveway but after some snow and rain pretty much gone now.

I've got a mutual friend in town that sells Amsoil. Buying a full case for my Tundra and my Dads LX470. Going back to HDMP and never looking back.

I really went overboard this year and loaded it on. by the end of last year it was gone and used maybe 1/2 gallon. So far really gooped on there after a few snow falls and a bunch of light snow salty wet roads. I pull down the spare and do up there, air the spare, and do the rim also. Might make changing to the spare a little goopy some day, but it wont be rusted away.

Any of you guys heard of NH Oil Undercoating? Pretty good stuff. Oil based like the Amsoil but has a black tint to it to keep everything looking nice and clean below. New Tundra is at the shop now getting their "Wax n Oil" treatment. I'll post pics after I get it back. Here is there website. Had the wife's 4Runner done and did my old Tacoma myself.

Krown sat in a nice warm chair as the tech spent a hour taking care that my tundra will be rust free. All for under $200. Once every year.

"Rust Check" brand name yearly here...done at the dealer...$175
Where I live I'm never much further than 10 miles from the Atlantic Ocean, winds and salted roads.

Pretty much like this for 4 months of the year. Back in the day we would use used oil of any kind and just undercoat that way...works good
