I'm currently dialing in my 2018 CM Platinum for kiting in the PNW (Jones to Roosevelt spring to fall/Puget Sound in winter) and looking for what mods/add-ons others have found useful. Tonneau/Shell, RTT, shower, etc. And always looking for others to ride with!

    None yet, but soon..
I have started kiting a few yrs ago but had to stop training due to knee surgery, its great sport, i am still taking lessons and kite out at Sherman Island. I added a bed cover and a line-x bedliner so far. I will be adding more in the next year.

Excellent. Thanks for sharing! Sorry to hear about your knee. Does your bed cover (tonneau cover?) lock?

I plan on using an RTT this season in the Gorge and want a bed liner and locking (thinking metal roll-back type) tonneau cover. Based on my research *i think* in order to use the brackets that work with the cover I’ll need to do all of this in order. So bed liner, then racks (or at least the brackets), and then the cover. I may opt for the garden sprayer painted black for showers, but wonder about the diy pvc type I’ve seen.

I have seen kiters int he Gorge before. I like watching the bridge of the gods and the kite boarding for cancer. What kites and sizes do you fly? Do you prefer a TT, Foil or Surf?

Sorry. Got confused between your message and this thread. Here’s what I replied with re Kites:

    “I’m on North gear:

Kites are all different models because I typically wait for sales and prio size and price over model. It’s a wide-ish range because I can share it with my wife and need very different size between home (Puget Sound) and seasonal (Gorge) riding. I’m currently seeking a reasonable deal on a new 5m.
    • 15m Juice
    • 12m Mono
    • 10m Evo
    • 7m Neo”
I haven’t gotten into foil yet but definitely intend to! I ride a 5’11” directional and a 145TT.
