Stock for now, but have TRD Rear Sway bar for it.
Sorry, too broad of a question. This is like saying I need to buy tires, what are some good ones. You need to be more specific. I have worn damn near every black boot made it seems. Everything is dependent on the need though. I have Danner Arcadia's sitting in my closet, great boots, terrible for all night shift work and foot pursuits. I am wearing some Reeboks like mentioned above for duty right now, but actually don't like them. Love 5.11 boots, but they don't make the pair I love the most in black anymore, Taclight 6". 8" boots are nice, but I have moved to 6" for most duty work for ankle flexibility. No matter the boots, I wear WOOL socks, year round. Merino smart wool socks are the bomb.

Flashlights...........don't even get me started. I really like Streamlights, but my duty issued one is junk. I actually use and carry on graveyard shift (right now) a $30.00 1500 lumens light from Sam's Club. It is awesome, except it is a tail cap turn on, but it is 30 bux. Charges with a USB from my computer. I have a Streamlight back up light on my duty belt and an X300 Ultra gun light.

Try on a bunch of pairs of boots to see what feels good and then buy them. Flashlight is all preference too and what you need. What you think you love, you might not like 3 months down the road, hence the reason I have several iterations of gear.

I like the Reebok boots too. Very light and comfortable. Breath well and have a side zipper.

Danner Fort Lewis. You want the height because pant legs hang up on a lower boot looks like crap when you stand and your pants are hung up on your boot. The longer you have the boots the more comfy they are. take care of the leather resole when needed will last for ever. Well worth $ Feet don't get wet in water snow. Summer won't sweat. Get the Danner boot dressing won't dry out the leather.
Flash light don't get to high end. If your on the job long enough its going to get dropped or go missing.

    Old school.

Fits perfect through spare cuffs on a strap holster when it's not loaded on your off hand shoulder or in the door panel.

There's an LED bulb upgrade too, those 6 D's will leak acid before they die.

I’ve done led bulb up upgrade on 3D Maglite. Just put “Malkoff drop in” into light tonight. (325 lumens)

    Results: one bright club!

Here is stock vs malkoff at 90’ and a shed. Last pic is EDC bodyguard v2 @ 90’ too 3EE2C26A-EC6A-4811-A5B0-68EF7737F30A.jpg 004F3B58-AD15-41D6-BB07-EF46377E1A9E.jpgEC050A8D-B28C-4C5F-9FE4-5D3DFA8A47DD.jpg

I’m not a fan of Danner. They have gone down hill. A lot of their offering are heavy as hell. Also be careful, a lot are made in China. If you go Danner stick with the US made boots.

Sorry to revive, but thought I'd put in my 2¢. Lowa boots are the best I've tried (followed by Danner Stryker boots, but like @BTBAKER said, they have gone a bit downhill in the last 10 years I've noticed. Old ones used to last 4-5 years.
If you need a light for rifle check out the INFORCE WML. I'm a believer. Glock light/ surefire HD / carry light streamlight C4 (small). For a headlamp check out NEBO.

I'm always interested to hear what people have found good luck with.

I’ve had the 4D. They were good boots and very comfortable. The sole wore out a little faster than I like but I walk on rock all day so that may have something to do with it.

wore Danner from 1999 till retirement . They are super comfortable once broken in and they are a very well made boot.
