any secrets to getting rid of the seat belt chime other than the dummy latch, wear your seatbelt comments, take to a dealer(which I will do if nothing else). I’ve read about the Carista app. Is there anything in that app that is really worth ordering the Bluetooth adapter? New to tundra so I’m open to hearing an great insight in general. I just purchased the 2019 TRD pro. Also my wife has the 18 highlander and her chime is incredibly more annoying.

Maybe someone in your area that has Techstream will do it for you. That's how the dealer will do it anyway.

The carista plug-in ($20) was worth disabling various chimes and reminders and setting other stuff for me.

You get a 30 day free trial of the premium app (which is required for the DS seat belt chime) to get things sorted.

And you can use the OBD2 without the premium app and set various settings after the trial ends.

It’s worth it, IMO. If you don’t want to spend $20, go to the dealer. Good luck.

Why does carista site say only first and second gen?

    Read your owners manual...
You can have many things turned on/off via a free stop at the dealership. I had them turn all that annoying shit off before I took delivery.

Technically what we're calling 3rd Gens, Toyota still considers a 2nd Gen with a refresh. There was a thread about it on here somewhere.

    edit: here it is
