Ive been lurking and searching on here for awhile and found myself wanting to get in on the conversation. Bought my 2018 Limited CM TRD 4x4 in August. I had a 2003 SR5 that I bought stock in 2008 for 9k with 60k miles on it. Drove it for almost 10 years to 190k miles. Had my first baby and realized a double cab was not going to work. I also bought a bigger boat and the 1st gen was breathing a bit heavy up hills. So i sold it for 8k! Didn't do anything but oil and a timing belt for PM.

My best friend is the service manager at the local dealer and got me a no hassle deal on a new one, so here I am today. I went in to buy an SR5 and left with the Limited. Love it. I'm resisting temptation to lift it, and Pro grill swap with all the TSS. But we will see. I did color matched mirrors and handles. And my buddies body shop guy is going to strip and paint my bumper caps. The limited grill is growing on me. Did the pop lock and bed lights too.

Hi there! I did virtually the same thing... bought an 06 in 09, drove for 110k did only basic maintenance no problems... had a kid and sold once the little bugger no longer fit access cab... brought home 2018 a month ago... resisting lift but could not resist tire/wheel swap... congrats!

 

Yes, love the white. Trying to resist bronze wheels on it....

Thanks everyone. Im glad I found this forum and I found it much easier and more informative than the others. I did a lot of reading here that prevented me from making mistakes with the lift and grill.

The good thing is that my buddy can calibrate my TSS for free. And he is allowed to bring me in the shop after hours to work on our trucks. Along with other loop hole work arounds to not void warranty.

Thank you. Yeah i was fortunate. Ive never bought a new car but i know the drill from going with my parents when they bought cars. I just walked in signed papers he already had printed up and handed him a check. And got employee pricing. (Which is still high because CA) I see other states getting killer deals on here.

Not to mention my 10 percent sales tax and 900 dollar registration for the year. (Screw Prop 6) and I got this license plate for the tree hugger hippies.

That's not nice haha! Those are the exact wheels I want!!!! It doesn't make it any easier that I get a discount on methods too. It's the tire cost that makes me decide against it.
