It fit perfectly. Went on too easy! It's one 12mm bolt to get the original one off. I pbblasted it for a couple days prior. It sounds 1000x better than the old og muffler. Quiet at idle, but roars when you get on it.

Total time was about 3 hours to install assys and bulbs along with night time test driving shake down and adjustments. Took about three tunings to get the beams aligned just right via adjustment screws on housing.

These headlight bulbs are nice and bright white. They throw good beams down road with an actual hot spot with a very sharp cut off line. Pleased with it all. Don’t expect these Sylvania Halogen bulbs to last a long time per the reviews. They will be replaced next year by the Supernova v.4 LED (or newer version hopefully) which are probably the nicest LED bulb for reflector housings going right now. I’m thinking the next version will surpass anything Halogen as the tech is getting better exponentially by the day for LED (smaller, better beam pattern, better cooling, etc).

Probably will do LED (yellow) in the fogs as well.

I replaced the ambers with straight clear halogens to avoid the peel. I might experiment with some LED ambers for grins. Getting to the point of being tired of spending money though as I’ve just about got her where I set out to get her.

Have an appt next week at mechanic for a shake down on the (possible) wheel bearing noise coming from the rear? Gonna have him give her a full status report at the same time.

Looks good Fred. Looks real good actually.

I worked on my lights today as well. Sanded both head and fogs with 3M kit. It turned out pretty well. I will install new fog lights tomorrow and headlights next week once they arrive.

Those things look brand new. Mine were one and done on the polishing. Second go around on the polish was a fail. Good job on yours.

In my experience, once you remove that top layer they won't last long. I'll probably have to replace them in a year or so. Maybe by then there will be some LED option like you mention.

I did a few upgrades to my truck this week. I wrapped the roof with some vivvid vinyl. It was extremely hard to work with but in the end, I think came out pretty good though lol. Also got some 2" bora spacers and put 2017 tacoma rims on with 285/70/r17 ko2's. Also, I put on a short antenna

Anyone off the top of your head know if Double Cab and Access Cabs can interchange leaf springs?

Got a guy with a 2002 Who wants to buy my take off oem leafs (2006) from me. Can’t seem to find an answer online.

I watched some YouTube videos and started wrapping random stuff in my car interior. I also wrapped a box that I made into a stand for my computer monitor and my ecig just for the heck of it. It’s honestly pretty easy, just practice on some random things until you get the hang of it.

Leaf packs on the DC are a different weight rating but they should still physically fit. No idea how much it would raise the back end up though.

Old post I realize. Interesting that you mention these as I'm thinking about replacing both strips. Unfortunately they are not cheap. They look rough and I don't want moisture under there causing rust. I want to remove, clean, wax, and replace with new.

My driver's side won't stay in place.

Caulk with Fuze and paint them. I put some pics up last week? Lots of taping and finish work, but worth $aving if they are salvagable.

Just bump started my 06. Very cool feature I would have never known existed if not for this thread.

Now if only I could get this horrible squealing under the hood to go away

So here is another feature that I found out last night.

My headlights will not come on without key in ignition AND turned.

Head lights/running lights will go off with keys removed.

During the daytime, this feature does not work. In other words, the lights stay on.

Wondering if this is a feature or a good electrical gremlin?

On my 04 you can leave the lights on all the time. They will shut off when the ignition is turned off and the drivers door opened. They will not turn back on with the ignition off unless you turn the light switch fully off then back on again.
