My wife gives me crap when I do that. But reminisces about it afterwards. She forgets that I used to have my own tracks down the dirt roads in the forests by my house. I had lots of practice.

This was pretty much our first time driving while it was snowing, which I was hoping would happen while we were on our vacation so I could throw it into 4hi and go slide around

Beautiful! How did it go? Did you use the 3M wheel for the remaining double sided tape or a different method? Doing mine next week

Folks gifted me with new white door handles! Really love the clean look it adds to the truck. Badge removal to follow next weekend!

I wonder how the badges would look color matched white. I think it maybe a first and would look very cool.

Traded my 17 tacoma limited for this SR5 DCOR a couple of months ago so this is my first post

Debadged and gave it a quick wash. Going for the "understated bad ass stock" look...keeping only the 5.7 badge.

Thanks! Yes I used exactly that 3M wheel. I tried goo gone before using it and I was too impatient. 3m wheel was worth it. I even overpaid for it at pep boys. Just go slow and don’t burn through the paint. Then polish and wax.

Off work until Jan 2 and going stir crazy and my ocd got the better of me. So me and my sidekick headed outside.

Thought that strip of silver in the gap between the bottom of the tailgate and the top of the bumper looked stupid, so I wrapped it. o_O

I've been kicking this idea around for awhile as well, so thanks for posting this. I'm assuming you left the spare tire hole open lol. I plan on putting one of those Blade light bars there as well with the vinyl as a framing backer.

I used a soldering iron and several types of blades to make the notch for the key, and to remove the original key housing.
I cut the key to the proper shape with a cutting wheel, and then wrapped the end with heat shrink to shield the electronics from it.
I also had to melt out a space in the backing and trim the main housing so it would still close with the transponder placed inside.

Yea, way too much work. That's why I am trying to get a 4runner key and see if I can program it.

Got the Tuffy console insert for Christmas. Installed it last night. I really like it. Only two issues:

    1) screws that were provided for the front filler plate attachment were too narrow diameter. Luckily I found some slightly longer bolts that were the right diameter in my collection of nuts, bolts, etc.

    2) If you attach the filler plate and have the stock tracks (front and back) for the trays installed then you won't be able to get the unit in. Had to remove the filler plate to make it fit and then installed the filler plate afterwards.
