Went from a 285 to a 275. Did I make a bad decision?

How do you like the duratracs?

I hear they get noisy as they wear down.

I can hear a bit of humming at 45mph but nothing too bothersome.

You know I just learned about that size. That's about perfect IMO but it looks like Goodyear is one of the only companies making them and I'm not sold on the Duratracs? I like that they are fairly light for their size and are available in a D-load rating, snow rated, etc. but the reviews on them are very mixed. Some claiming they are they best thing since sliced bread and others claiming they are the worst AT'ish tire ever made

I'm 55 years old, been driving pick up trucks all my life. There isn't a best AT tire out there, just lots of GOOD ones... you'll have to decide what's best for you :)

I’ve worked in the automotive industry for 18 years.
I can tell you that most tire reviews have to be taken with a grain of salt.

Most people will review a tire having only owned it for a couple days or weeks and usually don’t have a lot of experience with other tires to compare it against.

I’ve learned that most of your big name A/T’s will be fairly comparable with minor differences for each one.

I’ve actually owned 5 different a/t tire brands over the past 10 years.
I enjoy trying different tires every time to see the differences.

Duratracs are probably in my near future.
