Looking to ditch the chrome door handles on the truck. Have a cement colored crewmax. My dilemma is color matched or the black textured handles.

The sliders on the truck have bedliner on them and I think doing the black textured for the door handles would look ok, plus the toneau cover is black. Color matched always looks good but costs quite a bit more

    So what to go with?

Color matched, black textured handles attract & hold wax.
    I recently replaced mine.

Never thought about holding wax. Wonder if just plain black painted would look good. And their still cheaper than color matched.

I recently switched from chrome to black handle and am happy with the look, especially since the tailgate handle is black textured. I'm not sure I'll feel the same as they weather over next 5-10 years. That said, if I didn't find them for ~$50 on CL, i probably would have saved my pennies for color match on my Silver truck.

I think color matched looks the best by far. I hate my black tailgate handle and will eventually inquire at a body shop how much it would be to color match it.

I think you all are right, just hard to swallow paying almost 400 for a set. Small piece of painted plastic at almost a hundred bucks a door, ouch

Might give the black texture a try or just wait and see about finding a set of cement. Might just have to scour or find a part sale somewhere.

    Much appreciated all.

You should be able to paint a black set whatever color you like.

Very good point, might have to see what local body shop would charge.

Ordered mine from Sparks Toyota. They were $242 with shipping. Just use tundras.com as the promo code. Mine are white so I'm not sure if your color is more. I just got the handles.

Yeah, was checking Sparks. It's $387.00 because of the cement color. Apparently that color adds a hundred and fifty bucks to the handles
