Anyone on here with a Wildwood camper?

    I'm going to look at a 2014 Wildwood X-lite 261-BHXL tomorrow.
4300lbs empty. Really looking forward to a 2000+ lbs reduction in empty weight over my Toyhauler that I just sold. I've been reading on the Wildwood units, specifically the X-lite series. This is a rear bunk front queen layout, something that will work perfect for me. Currently have 1 two year old daughter, but working on another, so the rear bunks will be ideal.

This specific one is fairly loaded.
    -Electric awning.
    -Electric/automatic leveling jacks.
    -Electric front jack.
    -Handful of other interior upgrades.

I have a jayco jayflight XL 264BHW, which has a near identical floor plan. I dont had the bunk wardrobe or camp kitchen, no cabinets over the sofa and I have manual front jack and levelers. I really like the layout and the amount of useable bed space. I have had 4 adults, 3 kids (2,4,8), and 2 large dogs all in it.

I like the sofa in front of the queen bed. Seems like it really opens up the space, but keeps separation at the same time.

The one I'm looking at tomorrow does not have the outside kitchen.

@Cfincke , your jayco pull pretty nice with the Tundra?

Yes pulls well, I have a P3 brake controller and a equalizer weight distribution hitch. I am not going 75MPH while pulling, but typically around 65MPH. On flatish ground it is easy pulling, going up hills I notice it back there

My Tundra is already setup for the weight. I kept my Equalizer hitch and already have Sumo Springs. I've had good luck with my P3 as well.

Anyone with input on the Wildwood series specifically?

Bust. Thing was beat. People either baby their campers or do zero upkeep. There is no in between. My 2006 toyhauler was cleaner than this 2014 I looked at today.

I went to look at that Wildwood 261 this morning. Trashed and unmaintained, disappointing for a 4 year old unit. Guy still thinks it's worth full NADA retail. It wasn't worth anything to me for the work required, I have enough projects.

Overall I'm looking for a lightly used bunkhouse. Somewhere around 21'. 4,000-ish lbs empty. Prefer double axle, but entertaining single if it's a HD single with high cargo capacity.

Thread name changed, camper decision made.

The family and I went to look at a 2016 Grey Wolf 26BH yesterday, picking it up today. It has the limited package with quite a few convenience and luxury items that weren't even on my list. It checks the big boxes for us and a little more. It's a tad larger than we had in mind, but we'll still be over 2,000lbs lighter than our previous toyhauler. The camper looks new inside and out. I'll snap some pics tomorrow.
    -Tandem axle.
    -Under 5,000lbs empty.
    -2,000lbs cargo carrying capacity.
    -Front queen and rear bunks.
    -Dinette and sofa.

Additional items that I'm happy about.
    -Power Awning. With LED's.
    -Power tongue jack.
-Rear folding cargo rack. 200lb cap.
    -Insulated tanks.
    -Radial tires.

Good choice! We picked up a Grey Wolf 22BH this summer, have really enjoyed it! A bit smaller floor plan than yours, but very similar. Congrats!

Finally got around to getting some pictures of the new camper. I am really liking it. It was never really used in the 2 years the previous owner had it. This is good and bad, the bad being I'm trying to bring the battery back to life and I believe I'll be buying a new one. It's going to fit what we need perfectly.

I pulled it around again for about an hour after I setup my WDH that I kept from the toyhauler. What a difference, but it should be for losing over 2,000lbs. This is going to make our trips up north and out west much more enjoyable, both towing and comfort.

EXTERIOR: Limited package, few little odds and ends that I really like. Power awning, power tongue jack.

Awesome! How does it tow? We have a 17 RP Wolf Pup.... little brother to yours. We've towed it with my wife's 4Runner but yet to try it with the Tundra. Doubt I will even know it's there.
