How long did the paint hold up to the heat? I powder coated my tail pipes and after a while everything but the tips eventually burned off.

I ordered the black TRD exhaust on my 19' but they only color the tips black.

Any updates on how the VHT is holding up? Thinking about using the Rustolem “equivalent”.

I just picked up the Trd dual exhaust for $50 ! She needs some TLC but planning on using the VHT as well. I’m just debating if I sand it all or stick with degreasing and scotch brite.

    How is it holding up?
I painted the tailpipe section on my 4Runner once but a weekend on damp gravel roads sandblasted all the paint off the underside of it.

Yea I dunno how that happened. I cleaned them up and painted with the black header paint.

Nice! Could this same material be used on the chrome running boards?
I ended up with predator like running boards and honeycomb grille in a trade, but after first use decided the step is not wide enough for my likings. Thinking about just slapping the chrome ones back on there and using this process if you’d think it would work.

Nice score. I did the same, though not for the same price. I used Duplicolor high heat primer and high heat paint. Scuffed the hell out of the chrome and it's been holding up. I did have to go back after as I didn't get in the TRD well enough and it started to rust. Re-sanded it and it's been 2 years hassle free.
