All-Weather Mats

I've seen several threads extolling the virtues of WeatherTech and Husky mats, and some threads that compare the two. My question: if you are buying a new Tundra, do the OEM all weather mats compete for value with Husky or WeatherTech?

 

I dunno. I went with the Husky mats in front and back after buying my Tundra. Don't know how they compare to the OEM ones. Sorry.

I am happy with the Husky weatherbeaters tho, if that is any consolation....

 

I went with WheatherTech. The OEM don't cover the whole footwell. whereas the WheatherTech is molded to the whole footwell and even t he kick panel, so all I have to do lift the WheatherTech mat out to clean and rarely have to vacuum the carpet.

 

Go Husky and you'll be happy you did.

 

I would go husky aswell. Currently have weather techs on my Tacoma and they just don't fit right still way better than OEM. When I get my tundra I'm going with the huskys.

 

I had Weathertechs in my Tacoma, I loved them but I wish they cover more the footwell area, this time for my Tundra I get the Husky Weatherbeater and they fit better than weathertechs price is almost the same, the third option is Maxliner and is almost the same Weathertechs but for a cheaper price Amazon sometimes have them for $130 shipped, OEM liners look good but not worth the money they left some areas uncovered and exposed to mud, dirt etc

personally i have and prefer the husky's as they're deep and soft. i've had weathertec liners in the past and they look great but because they have a smoother texture at times became slippery. waaay down the list is the "all-weather" mats which are nowhere near as competent as weathertec or husky liners.

 

The Toyota all weather mats do not cover nearly as well as the Weathertech, Husky, or Maxliner. I removed the Toyota all weather and replaced with Maxliner. Been happy with them and they are reasonably priced.

 

Wow! Thank you for all the thoughts and ideas, gentlemen. Especially grateful for Maxliner (did not have that one on my list yet). I'll definitely steer clear of the OEM's based upon your feedback.

 

Michelin makes some floor liners that look promising. They have good reviews. Rugged Ridge makes some as well. I'm in market for some too and I have heard too many bad things about Weather Tech.

 

I've been very happy with my Husky Weatherbeaters. Front and back. No movement. Collects dirt, water, and mud well. I'm guessing the snow will be just as good

I love my Kagu Maxpider 3D mats. Has a textured carbon fiber look to them and some sort of Velcro on the bottom. Mine hasn't moved since I bought them.

This is the route I went as well. I only bought the fronts though. They have excellant coverage and are soft, rubbery feeling. I think there was another thread where the popular setup was Husky's in the front and Weathertech's in the back.

 

I have Aries 3d in mine and they dont slide around and fit really good. The rear doesn't cover up the back under the seats which i dont mind because I'm planning to do the storage box install eventually.

 

Same reason I got the 3D mats. I got the box and it's perfect.

 

I went with the Husky X act contour. Front and back. They.fit super well but I have one complaint. The front passenger mat uses a plastic retainer screw that is supposed to screw into the carpet and come up through the mat. That cheap ass plastic screw won't penetrate anything. Not only is it a waste, it defeats the water proof mat. How stupid. Think I'll just glue some velcro on the back.
