    Hi folks,
I am thinking about getting these Slider Wheel step bars on my Tundra instead of the AMP research power steps. I understand they serve two different purposes, but I like the fact that the Smittybilt does both.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

    Not nearly enough room here!
1012180846.jpg I don't know about Smitybuilt's 'Slider-Type' bars but I've never had a use for Cab Length bars or Boards on any of my trucks. The ones I have on my 2010 are by ICI. They're 4 inch Stainless, very stout and holding up fine after 8 years of use. Wheel to Wheel models like this just makes sense to me, when needing access to the truck bed from the sides. Our Tundra's bed-sides are higher than other brands.

Plastidip emblems, Pace Edward bed cover w/lumber rack, remote start, TRD intake and exhaust, TRD front and rear sway bars, color match grill surround, LED headlight upgrade.
I like them. They look like they would make it easy to access the bed in the front.

These are just steps that look like sliders. They can’t hold the weight of the truck. If you’re looking for protection for off-roading, don’t get these.

I had them on my truck. They were good as steps. They will protect your truck against rocks, but only once. Got bent after the first time using them. Like Joon said, the steel can't support the weight of our trucks.

    Thanks for the input!
Any recommendations for a decent slider/step? Or should I just get the AMP power steps?

SDHQ, White Knuckle, P&P, All Pro. Pros and cons to each of them but they're all pretty good. Personally, I'd choose sliders over power steps... for the protection and just one less thing to break.

I now have the AllPro Apex sliders. They come with a full top plate, which was required by my wife. They function really well as a step/slider. There are more expensive options like White Knucle that have a good top plate slider.

If you are local to NorCal, I know of a good deal on the AllPros.

Hey Scott. Are the all pros 100% bolt on? I know some have to drill from the bottom.

They are 100% bolt on, but you do have to drill 4 new holes on each side. The All pros have countersunk flat head screws, so they will run flush with the bottom of the sliders. Which is a huge advantage over White Knuckle with their exposed bolt heads on the bottom.

The P&P sliders are also 100% bolt-on with no drilling required. The advantage to the All Pro sliders is that they wrap around the bottom of the frame - the P&P do not.
