Great look! That's the same tire I'm going to use with my RW next year

Hi Tyler! I'm curious how the XLT's are working for you? I'm torn between those and the 4S's but really like the look of the XLT's. Looking at 275 70 18's, so almost the same overall size and weight of yours. Wondering about wear, ride quality, road noise, any decrease in mileage?

Interesting what you say about the intermittent steering wheel vibration at around 60 mph. I got the same tires back in September. The first few days they rode smooth as glass, then the steering wheel shimmy began off and on between 55 to 65 mph. It won’t do it all the time, though. Will have to take them back for a re-balance.

Other than that, the tire looks great. I guess time will tell how they hold up.

They’re as good as the day I bought them. About to rotate them next week for the first time actually.
    No vibrations or anything.
Being in Florida, I’ve taken them through some seriously heavy rain and some slippery bot ramps and they haven’t skipped a beat.
They are a significant increase over my old Toyo AT2 Xtreme’s (and that’s saying a lot because those were solid tires also.).
I’d buy a set tomorrow if I could choose again.
Not sure the difference between those and 4S exactly but I’m sure has very similar on road manners. These just looks so good and have such great all around manners.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with!

Forgot...wear is perfectly even and much quieter than the Toyo’s. I think I have right at 5500 miles on them now. 75% of them are towing miles.

I’d say I’m getting 1.5mpg average better than my Toyos. They’re lighter, a tad skinner and not as tall (34.5” tall) so all that helped. Can’t say how much you would go down from being stock. Been a long time since I’ve had a stock truck.
I average 11.2 mpg but again...I’m towing a boat a lot so that’s an inaccurate number.

Thanks, that gives me a good idea of what I'd be getting. I'm averaging 15.6 on winter blend gas and mileage was never a concern until we moved and my commute doubled. Extra gas money cuts into my hunting and fishing trip fund lol

Not a very good pic, but here's a side shot of my truck with them on. They're 285/75/17s.

Your truck looks great! That's pretty much exactly the look I want. Just want to fill the wheel wells a little more than the stock size does. How is your fuel mileage with them?

I’d buy them....they are 8# lighter than my Ridge Grapplers. I have 60k miles to go before worrying about tires though. Thanks for posting.

Thanks! The best mileage I ever got when it was completely stock was 16.2. It’s now averaging 14.2. So yeah, it took a hit, but I expecting that. When I was running 275/70/18 BFG AT/KOs on 18” MB 352s, mileage was around 14.6. Here’s a side pic of what it looked like with the 275/70/18s earlier this year:

I have the AT3 XLT'S on my 2014 RAM 2500 cummins and they have been exceptional. Getting ready to install a set on my 2013 Tundra Double Cab. how have they performed so far?

The tires look really good on your truck. What spacers are you referring to when you say "glad I left my spacers in"?

Thanks! Before I had the wheels and tires installed, I had already removed the front plastic from the bumper and had installed the Bilstein 6112s at the 1.9” setting. So I don't know if they would've rubbed the plastic had I not removed it. They easily clear the body mount.

I want to cut and redrill holes on the plastic front piece and install it back on the bumper when I have time. There's a thread on here that shows where to cut and redrill, but I can't find it at the moment.

Really starting to wish I had bought 6112's instead of 5100's with every post I read on here. Hopefully I can get a similar result when I put them on.

Think this is the thread you're talking about for trimming.

Wanted to bump this thread. OP any updates to report on the tires; wear road noise and any off-reading? I’ve been following this thread and going to need to pull the trigger on a new set of tires.

In the past, I ran nothing but Coopers [AT3s] and loved them.

    That's true ...

I'm kind of torn now, when I get tires again: I have BFG KO2s on right now, and they seem like really good tires, so far. When these are done, however, I will probably return to Coopers.

I think the ride quality was better with the Coopers, but the K02s wear better, it seems.

I put 275/70/18 XLT's on about 2 weeks ago and just got back yesterday from a 1750 mile round trip home to Pennsylvania from WI. They did great! On the road they rode extremely well and the noise was negligible. Honestly, they're barely louder than the p metric Firestone's that I took off. When I left WI it was pouring rain and they were great thru the standing water on the roads. Lots of construction thru Chicago and east on 80, they handled uneven road surfaces, ground up concrete and potholes like a champ. I was in north central PA at my hunting camp, so lots of back roads, dirt, mud and limestone gravel and they were great there too. The first 75 yards of the driveway into my camp is very steep, lots of slate and leaves and it was wet from rain and they bit right in and she climbed right up. My cousin's AWD Nissan Pathfinder couldn't make it up the hill lol. Alot of the places I went were sloppy and muddy thanks to lots of rain (which screwed fishing) and they chewed thru everything, cleaned out well and didn't pick up alot of stones. I always worry about stones as many of the mountain roads are covered with limestone gravel that is sharp and good for punching holes in tires. My highway travel averaged about 16.8 at 70 to 75 mph. Lower speed travel, 45 to 55 mph on the hard roads I averaged around 17.4. Some pics from the camp...20190514_181935.jpgAnd some critters in the driveway....20190512_175520.jpg 20190512_184848.jpg

I just ordered mine yesterday and they will go on my truck in the next two weeks. I got them in 285/75R18 and even at that size they are still only 60 pounds. The 60K warranty is amazing and all the reviews I investigated to the end of the internet had nothing negative to say about them. Excellent tire for the price, warranty and weight. Plus the daily driving road noise is minimal. Win all around.

These are the original AT3's. theyve been on the 4Runner for 18 months now. The wifes new Tundra is getting them after it gets its 6112's next month and Method wheels. The tires wear great and ive had -0- issues.
