I am going to try to install new fog lights this weekend. 2008 Tundra CM Sr5. My truck is prewired for them, but I am going to use new wiring harness so I can use them "anytime". It seems very straight forward from what I see. Once I get the wires inside the firewall is where I am a little confused. I have a black and red wire. The black gets grounded, but I'm not sure where the best place to connect the red.

Where is the best place to splice to be able to run fog lights anytime?

Use what is called an "add a fuse" connector. They work very good and look very professional. The red wire will go to the add a fuse connector then get plugged into your inside fuse box.

I hope you did your stretches today. The inside fuse box has to be the most un ergonomic correct fuse box I've ever encountered.

You could do on of the "anytime" fog light mods posted here on the forums. These will give you the ability to turn your fogs on or off anytime the light switch is not "off" (e.g. parking lights on, low beams on, high beams on) using the factory fog light switch.

Here's a link. I used the "Eddie" version in the first post. Works great.

yea, I looked through this thread for some info. I was having trouble finding info for my exact situation. From what I understood, these options were for Tundras that were already completely wired for fogs with an existing button or stalk. In my situation I have the wire harness' at light location, but do not have a switch or stalk location. But please correct me if I am wrong.

I'm sorry, I thought you had the fog light switch already. Proceed.

Yes, I am using all new wiring that came with the lights. it runs through a relay and fuse that is already wired. The Fog lights are 26W each. I would assume the switch that I got with all of the wiring will work fine? I will look through the attachment you sent, it looks like useful information to me. Thank You!!

Is it odd that I recently burned out a running light, light bulb. I decided to try something different.

I've found that I need yellow fog light on occasion. I installed a set if these 15 minutes ago.

They are much brighter than the original running light white light. The yellow fog light setting seems about the same brightness as my original white running light bulbs, but with a yellow cast.

I hope they last. I'm always skeptical when buying Chinese lights.Screenshot_20181215-192543.jpg

Need help trouble shooting fog lights. Purchased a kit from Amazon. Decided to use existing wiring from my 2008 Toyota Tundra. Installed lights and relay. Having trouble tapping switch wiring into existing. Videos online say to tap into light blue 22 guage wire and #3 green wire. I located these bit my new switch has 4 wires 1 black, 1 green and 2 red. Which wires from switch tap into blue and green wires?
