It’s time to get new tires for my 2016 TRD Pro Tundra and I been stalking this site for years. So many beautiful trucks and i been undecisive for so long! Arg! I have finally decided to go with the CB TRD Pro kit, stock wheels with spacers and 295/70/18 Toyo Open Country AT2’s. The only problem is that the shops i talk to in Hawaii question this setup that has become my favorite from our forum!

Could everyone with something similar here post some pictures so i don’t regret dropping the cash and hearing “i told you so” from the tires shops Front shots, side shots, rear shots, any angle shots will be doing this brutha a favor!

Mahalo from Hawaii! Live Aloha! #tundratime

What exactly are they saying? Ate they steering you away from the tire itself ? I have been mulling these tires as well and 2 others

They are questioning the size...i guess many go with 285/65/18 out here but it seems like these are a popular size for M/T tires like Nitto Trails Grapplers...they are popular in the islands.

I had the 285 65 18 Toyos they look to small for my taste with minimal lift so after 3 months of having those on I returned them and got what I originally wanted which was 295 70 18 but now I love the look but dont like the MPG loss and also the sluggishness on having heavier tire so maybe the 285 70 18 would be my next choice or re gearing this now.......but the look is awesome 20181201_134650.jpg 20181201_134640.jpg 20181122_162656.jpgthe truck on the left is my uncles and he has The Nitto Terra grappler g3 on 285 70 18

I have 295 60 20 toyo at2 on stock wheels on my 2010. Those fit with out a lift but I did have to trim the skid plate. All mudflaps still on. I have since leveled with Bilstein 6112. I can take some pics in morning if you want.

I own a 2016 trd pro cm and from my research although someone correct me if I’m wrong 295/70/18 is the largest tire you can fit with just having to only remove the front mud flaps. I too am eyeing those toyos and that size for my rig. Remember the trd pro on the 16 has a 2” lift on the front.

@Rica25 how many gallons you getting on the 295’s?

@MGM I’ve seen some here out on 295’s with the TRD Pro...I’m gonna add the coachbuilder shins and Shakles so i should have more room under there.

@agentcox000 beautiful truck! Any lift or Shakles? Love the method mesh...truck is looking sick!

Thank you! Yes to lift, pretty much 3" in front, 1" in rear. Had to removed mud flaps and do a BMC for clearance. Also rubbed on front bumper, but I just replaced that with the ADD Stealth Fighter so no more rub issues.

Right on. I see you want to be extra sure. I’m most likely going with that size as I don’t mind removing mud flaps.
