The ‘jumper mod’. Allows drivers side push of map light to turn ON both map lights. The white arc shaped wire is the jumper.

That looks cool, my wife’s fusion has a button where you can turn on the lights. I’m really weary of doing any electrical mods since I’ve been reading that a lot of 16+ tundras are having alternator failures.

This mod came about because I fried the pass side switch when putting in foil reflective tape inside the light well to enhance the lighting of the new LED’s I put in.

I figured I could bypass that switch and operate both from the drivers side. Never liked having to push both switches individually anyway.

The second part of the mod you may not know about is removing the metal cover behind the lens which allows more light to flow. With yours being a 2017 not sure how the design is, but on the 1st Gen its great.

Pop & lock was a dance style back in the 2000's.

Front seat shim mod. Remove two front screws on each front seat sliding tracks. Install a couple of washers under the track and insert the screw back in though washers.

Tilts the butt portion of the seat back so you feel snuggled in better. Before these seat pans felt flat and this gives that tilt needed which isn’t available via settings.

$2 worth of washers max? Or just use whats laying around the garage.

The pop lock thing is just an actuator in your tailgate wired to your existing power locks, allowing you to lock and unlock tailgate by remote.

I’m assuming sound deadener is referring to dynamat material to dull the metallic echo on your doors.

I’m not sure on the other.

The search is a good tool.
seat fold down, allows back seats to fold down, not all years do.

pop lock, believe for tail gate auto lock function.
sound deadening, mainly for acoustical, stereo sound enhancement
Brake valve, gen 1's used to balance hydraulics better front to back.
    Throttle cable clean, dunno :notsure:

Thanks. I've been trying to search for some of these. I found a thread on the rear seat mod but it wasn't for 1st gen, which confused me because this thread was posed in the 1st gen section. I would be thrilled if I could find a way to fold down the back portion of my rear seat.

I believe throttle cable clean means clean your throttle body and adjust the cable. But I think after 02 they stopped using a throttle cable.

Rear diff breather. Runs up between the gas tank and drivers side frame to just behind the gas cap access door where its zip tied to the fill hose.

Had my rear axle seals blow due to heat build up from a stuck breather trapping/not letting heat escape. Wish I knew about this one years ago. $10 for 3/8” gas line (6ft). One union $10? One breather $10? 2 ss clamps 1/2”. Total under $40.

Here ya go. I love this thing, way better than a slip on one. It's not all bulky and stays in place.

Not sure if this helps, but my annoying rattle in my 2015 SR5 TRD was the plastic tray inside the glove box...removed the tray and that removed my noise!

    Give it a go...

You may need to pull off your interior door panels and tighten the other track screws. There are 4 per door on the first Gen if I remember correctly. Not sure about your year which seem squeaky in many places if its anything like my buddies. He complained all the time about the rattles and squeaks all over on his 2013.

Mine is definitely the drivers side window. It rattles when its partially down and if I put a bit of tension on it the rattle stops.

I do have another rattle when my bass hits that sounds like something in the glove compartment so i'll try removing the tray.

I removed the door panel earlier today and was able to find the bolt you mention earlier in this thread. The problem I have is my doors have sound matting and I don't see all the bolts. I'll look for pictures of a stock and hopefully find the rest of the bolts.

When you say sound matting do you mean the factory thick plastic that is adhered to the door? Or real deal sound butyl membrane matting?

If its the first, you can identify the bolts (mine are 10mm) and just punch the socket over the plastic onto the bolt. Tighten and then put some foil tape over the holes to stop drafts.

If its the thicker matting, you still may be able to do the same process or cut out the material around the bolt then reapply after.

I have Dynamat type matting. Haven't looked but hoping to find a pic of the door panel so I know where the bolts are.
