I have a couple of IK sprayers, but hadn’t seen one labeled for Beadmaker. I wonder if there’s any difference, or just advertising.

That’s dedication! The rain started up again, so I guess I’m going to have to live with it not being in prime shape today.
It still looks much better than last year though.

Probably. I have one normal one, and one foaming one. They seem to be pretty solid products.

    Sooooooo, back to Bead Maker.

This stuff is the Shitzz. My gallon came in earlier this week and I took some time today to give it a try. Totally impressed! Super easy to apply and SUPER slick once it's cured. Depth and gloss are incredible compared to my usual Maguires Ultimate Fast Finish (or, sometimes Ultimate Quick Wax) and Griot's Speed Shine detailer.

Did my daughter's xB and my son's V60 R-Design (both white) today too (both recently polished and sealed with Fast Finish) and can't get over the difference in pop, even on a white vehicle.

I'll probably be ditching all the the waxes/sealants in my shed and go with Bead Maker and Speed shine for the foreseeable future.

Thanks to everyone for their comments on this thread as I'm always looking for reasonably priced products that are easy to use yielding great results. This is DEFINITELY one of those.

Do you see a real difference with the Paint Gloss product applied? Hard to believe it could get any glossier after Bead Maker.

My truck is pushing 9 years old and I can't believe it looks as good as it does, especially being red. Bead Maker really made it pop.

Can you imagine all of our wives having a conversation?

“So...does your husband have more pictures of his truck than he does of you?”

Looking good! I have the paint gloss, but haven’t actually directly used it as a topper. I’ll have to give it a try.

Dammit Jim @driverdog you are supposed to not like it and send me the unused portion of Beadmaker!!! :goingcrazy:

Btw, it rained here for a few days last week, and even tho I would’ve liked to have seen the water bead on the paint, I kept the tundra in the garage, keeping it clean...and I can’t pass it without touching.
    I love being OCD!! :humble:

For those of you who have used Beadmaker, you know the towel is pretty damp afterwards. Take the towel and wipe down your interior with it. It cleans it up pretty well, and the anti-static properties help keep dust from building up.

It was pretty windy today (guests to 30 mph) and when it's like here, we get a LOT of dust in the air.

When I left the office I did notice there was considerably less than the normal amount of dust stuck to my truck, especially on the vertical surfaces.

    I'll take that any day.

By the way, I use a foaming IK Sprayer for the chemical I have for cleaning the coils on my home ac units. It works great.

Is it a cap that goes over your bumpers, or something he’s wrapping them in?

I believe it’s a cap that goes over, held in with some double sided tape. He’s got the ends molded for fit, sent me a sample to match paint. Oh, and I did put Hydro2 and Bead Maker on the sample!

I was going to powder coat too, then I read somewhere they area pain to get off...ideally these would be a better solution short of spray painting ends on the bumper. I haven’t decided on a different bumper or I would’ve just changed out

They definitely are. I was able to get some extra chrome bumpers free from someone. I had them powder coated, then swapped them out. I was able to do the front, but couldn’t get the back ones off to save my life. I ended up getting a local body shop to swap them for me.

You know, I got some overspray I think of Bead Maker on the windows and windshield. Looks like water marks but I can’t get em off! Tried windex and even ironx then more glass wipes that did help a little...any ideas on cleaning glass?

Carpro Eraser has worked for me in similar situations, it’s not incredibly expensive, and it will clean damned near anything.

Eraser Intense Oil & Polish Cleanser 1 Liter Refill https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FY1E0HE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_8KqeCbR1QDQF6

There’s a smaller bottle for a little cheaper, but the big one is only 23 bucks.

It’s basically a similar product to Beadmaker. It’s an excellent sealant, and long been a favorite of mine. Before I used Beadmaker, it was my go to, and I still use it quite a bit. It’s what I have on my wife’s truck right now.
Now, this is just my opinion, others may not agree:

Beadmaker gives more gloss, and makes the color stand out more.

Reload, I perceive to be more durable. This is not based in actual research, as I really don’t let any products live out their lifespan. I do think I’m correct though.

It’s not to say that Reload doesn’t produce a fantastic shine. It absolutely does. Beadmaker does better, but not by a ton. It’s really just a “different” look, if that makes any sense. Doesn’t give the wet appearance that Beadmaker does. It also doesn’t have the slickness Beadmaker does, but nothing I’ve ever tried has either. Not even close. Beadmaker is very unique in that effect.

If I had to say, Reload is more for someone who doesn’t want to do it as often. Beadmaker is better for someone who actually enjoys and looks forward to shining their car up.

Reload costs a great bit more, but you don’t have to use nearly as much product. A light mist on each panel is plenty. It’s also used as a component of a homemade quick detailer that’s much better than anything store bought.

I probably went too much in detail.....but that’s my opinion.

@SouthBoundSteve is a long time Reload user, and the one who turned me on to it. He just placed an order for Beadmaker, so he will definitely have a good take on it.

It hit 40° today so I did a hoseless wash and coated it with beadmaker. Even in cool weather it went on and wiped off pretty well. Took quite a few towels to get it completely dry, probably because it's cold. This is my second application of this stuff and it's even slicker and shinier than I remember.
