I didn't put on the resonator for my 8'' system and the small bit of drone doesn't really bother me. It's mainly between 1600-2000 RPM that it shows up, but my music drowns it out. We took a family trip up North and no one said anything about the drone.

Sweet that is what I’ll do. After a few weeks I’ll take the family on a little road trip and let that be my gauge. I appreciate all the feedback before getting my system. This thread is great for what it did for everyone as well as a massive review for thread lurkers like me lol.

I just used some stainless bolts, nuts, and washers I had laying around. Couldn't really tell you the exact size other than they fit the hole.

I went to a wedding this weekend, which meant some fun light-to-light sprinting downtown. I went several blocks with a Tundra with a TRD dual exhaust next to me. I rolled down the windows specifically to listen to his exhaust and compare. I could hear his TRD exhaust when he took off from a light, but I can tell you that my 8" dirty deeds was louder and a little more raspy. Of course I was in TH mode and heavy-footing it a little bit. Pretty happy with it so far.

I see your tail pipe is black as well. Was that difficult? I would like to do the same once I start installing my system and have the pipe off the truck.

Not at all. There’s a writeuo on Dirty Deeds website... all you need is thinner, acetone, some scotch brite pads, then high heat paint.

I can probably look up the article if you can’t find it, but it’s stupid easy.

The worst part was my hand was cramping from pushing down the spray can. Haha.

But seriously, so glad I did it. I know you don’t see much of the tailpipe, but it looks a lot better since I went with a black tip.

At the same time since my truck was on a lift I added a TRD sway bar. Painting the stock exhaust Black was fairly easy. Acetone, scotchbrite pads, and rustoleum high heat spray paint. I put on 6 coats on it. Truck truly sounds amazing, my neighbors wife, super cool hottie, commented to her husband...How come your truck doesn’t sound like that? I laughed and told her it needs to be a Toyota....:D

Met a dude at my dealer where I work at had 4x4 Limited Tundra told him to join the forum.....asked what exhaust he had he said TRD ....he stated he did not like the drone when going up the hills or highway most of the time so I referred to call Keith said he would and loved the way mine sounded when he asked to se it......he then complimented my truck .....said for an 08 it is in great shape and was really interested in the 8 inch BA muffler
