Up for sale is a Tesla Gen2 android head unit (this is the new one released a few months back) that I purchased here from a member 2-3 weeks back. With christmas coming up, i need to unload it to free up some funds that I should have thought about earlier before buying this. I never installed it, just opened the box to inspect from the member that I purchased it from. It still has the plastic clear cover on the screen (and some fingerprints). Asking less than what I paid for it: $500 shipped (which is better than the group buy price).

wonder how you control the AC on the SR5 models

 

From what I understand, that is all integrated into the unit because I have an SR5 as well

Yes, this android unit is all digital. You remove the nav unit and manual heat/ac controls and replace with this one piece from what I understand

 

Haha the grade version didn't come with any Nav control. Didn't want any "Fancy" stufff cause I was changing all the suspension, wheels and adding my own navigation. Have an android unit now but need more memory and looking at options.

What ram and hard drive size does this have please?
Also, the Phoenix website still shows the Tundra model as having AC knobs on the bottom. Where can I look up specs on this model?

 

This is the new Gen2 (fast boot) - its all digital - no knobs for AC etc.

My apologies for the possible dumb/repeat question....
Besides the radio and harness, what else is needed to install this into a vehicle? I have the JBL system with Nav and would prefer for all of the existing features to port over. I think I read somewhere that I may lose satellite radio operation? This radio may be better than my existing JBL which keeps randomly rebooting. The dealer isn't much help unless they can "duplicate the issue" when it's at their shop..

Same here. I really want this but the wife is not very happy when I told her I plan on spending 5500 on suspension and tires next year. So I have to lay low for a while.

 

When I talked with my wife about a big lift, rims and tires.... My wife walked away and said I don't understand stupid... In her defense it WAS a plan to spend 8700... Her was not happy.

This radio is a good deal I can't swing it right now or it would be MINE!

 

I quit talking to my wife about that stuff, cause it just pisses her off lol. Easier to ask for forgiveness later than permission now I suppose (in my twisted mind)

 

When the gen 1 units came out, there was issues with the A/C controls, was all of that sorted out and corrected for the gen 2 units?
