Ha yeah true I didn't think about that but you do have to factor in that the factory speedometer will be off a mile per hour or two.

Yea, its about 8-9% off at any given time once you factor in the tire change. Thankfully, I can calculate on the fly haha. I just go the actual speed limit instead of the usual 5 over the limit, and that's usually pretty close. The good news is my mileage will be less on the odometer than in reality if I ever trade it in haha

New to the forum here and read this thread when my Platinum 4x4 went down with the 10.8 MPG malaise and solved the issue for $22.00. If you take your truck to a local oil change shop or local mechanic who uses non-oem air filters, you might have had an air filter installed that fits perfectly and looks just like a Toyota OEM air filter, but it isn't. The filter that was installed on my truck looked right but was different. When I held them both up to the light, the non-oem filter was opaque and very dense and the OEM filter was light and translucent (relatively speaking). If light won't go through it, air won't either. It was the equivalent of having an extremely dirty air filter installed. My gas mileage went right back up when I put the OEM filter on. If someone runs across this issue and an after market filter has been installed, it might be in their best interest to get a Toyota OEM filter.

Many many tanks down...33k miles. Have had the 6” PC and 35’s for almost 2 years.

Hyper tech installed as well, with calibrated numbers. Still avg 18.1mpg.

    I’ll take that all day

I drive ‘er nice and easy. Light to moderate accel, cruise control damn near always, psi at 48 empty. Long as I keep the crusing speeds under 65 its all good. Had some couple hour drives (back country roads, light traffic, varying terrain) where the trip avg was 20.9 and 21.2

To turn that around and go tow 10k lb of trailer and equipment? And still get 10.1mpg. Pretty happy with the ol’ girl
