Double checked and it looks like all connections were connected without any loose connections. So as a trial I zip tied the harness to the bumper frame instead of it hanging loosely to see if the moving around while driving causes it. We’ll see.

    SAE Lighting - Update

Many people have heard information from myself and others at BD regarding SAE approved lighting. We are NOT releasing these until 2019 and can only share very few details until then. Expect more information in the New Year...

    - Squadron Series housing
    - Lights will be sold with or without Vehicle Specific Kits
    - The goal is to have the pair of lights sell for under $300
    - No information at this time on adapting SAE approved lens and optics to older Squadron Series Lights

Thanks for all of the interest. More details including an expected release date will be posted in the New Year :)

Received my Baja Designs Black Friday rebate check already today! Thank you guys for being on top of your stuff!

I called these guys because I had a bunch of technical questions and the guy that answered the phone had an answer for everything. Hard to find that level of service these days.

To anyone thinking about their stuff it's an absolute game changer at night. Don't waste your money making something almost as good as it could be. I had a competitors 40" light behind the grill. Swapped the mount to an @sdhq_offroad one over the weekend and threw the onx6 40" on. It's actually comical how much better the @Baja Designs light is and how much more thought out the new mount is.
Thank you for everything from both companies!

Thanks to this forum, I've been eyeing the Baja fog pocket kits since I bought my truck a year ago. I don't really do much off-roading, but I love the look.
I think my wife may have just ordered some for Christmas, but I'm not sure exactly what she ordered (I saw a charge pop up on the CC to Baja). I haven't done any lighting mods, so this would be my first. I had been looking at the squadron sport kit in either driving combo or WC amber. Am I on the right track there?
Now, IF she ordered the wrong thing, how difficult will it be to get swapped out? Too bad she didn't know about the forum discount code prior to ordering.

Driving/Combo or Wide Cornering would be a great start. The Combo pattern would be the best all-in-one pattern for nearfield, mid, and distance. Everything can quickly be changed thanks to uService Technology

@Baja Designs I was trying to find the comments to this one, not sure if I missed it or not. I plan on using S2's as a chase output, would the work/scene pattern be best suitable for this and easy to the eyes of the drivers behind me?

    Thanks,
    Dara

Work/Scene would be a great option or the Driving/Combo pattern. A benefit of the work/scene pattern is the light can double as a camp light.
Either is an excellent choice for a dust / safety light. The S2 Sport is a very popular choice for this application

These two vids are from part of the night run we did through Mengal Pass in Mojave.

Sadly they are iPhone videos, and the lights are so good and bright that my phone had a hard time focusing and getting the exposure correct. But you can see how awesome the @Baja Designs Onyx6 Hipower does at night... along with the Squadron Pro ditch lights that even out the pattern and illuminate the sides

@Baja Designs Would I be able to run the "Spot" lenses for the XL80 instead of buying the XL Racer and use the XL80 in a way of the XL Racer?

Wondering if the sae approved lights will run hotter so they won't collect snow/ice,like my amber sq sports do in the snow.

You would need a splitter as that harness is designed for 1 light
    https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/onx-s8-xl-pro-sport-splitter-55-universal.asp

    I'd personally run this instead:
    https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/xl-pro-sport-wire-harness-w-mode-2-lights-max-325-watts.asp

It's a higher-end harness that has the necessary length to reach both a-pillars

I'm running the XL80 with spot lens (switched it myself) and absolutely love them. Great lights for crusing down dark Montana highways at 70-80mph :D

Most likely they won't run at a higher temperature. I'll confirm that once we get further on testing and closer to production

It's a mode switch that activates the dimmed mode. The XL Racers have High and Low functionality. Low is 20% brightness
