Hey guys, my current 2008 SR5 manual cloth seats have a rip in it, I wanted to take this opportunity to buy a used leather power seats from the Sequoia and swapping it in. I know the floorboads are the same and the seat bolts right up, however what do i do about the power seats function? Has anyone done it or know how would i go about rigging it up? I looked under my current seat and see two plugs, one is yellow i'm assuming goes to the airbag, and the other has 4 wires connect from the loom to the seat. What the hell does that do to a manual seat?

Ahhh, makes sense, but why all 4 wires? My Sequoia seat should be here next week, i guess i'll have to find out on my own. No one else seems to have done this to theirs?

I put power seats in a 79 Chevy Malibu. All I needed was a ground and a power wire that I ran right to the fuse box.

Okay i'm fucked, the connector has too many wires/pins, i don't care for heated seats or memory or whatever, i just want it to move back and forth and up and down. Where do i begin to find which wire controls what? The grey connector and yellow connector are accounted for from my Tundra, but that big white one, i don't have it in my harness.

Alright i figured it out after playing with the wires, the black/white wire is ground, the blue wire is the hot/power wire, all you gotta do is tap power into the blue wire and ground the white wire to the body. This is enough to control all of the seat controls, forward/back up/down lumbar/thigh support.

The heated function i'll tackle it when i have time, i need to buy the seat heater control as well. So if anyone has torn cloth seats that's not powered, just buy a pair of powered/leather seats from a sequoia on eBay and it bolts right in.

nice work, thanks for the info. My manual seats are cloth but they don't go back far enough for my legs and I noticed the power seats in Tundra's go much farther back. This may be a nice upgrade.

Yeah the difference is night and day, i have the opposite problem, i'm short and the seat sits too low and i don't get a good feel of the hood, i don't wanna sit on a booster seat lol. It's worth the $300 i spent, just make sure when you buy it, you ask the seller if it comes with airbag, and the head rest, some asshole sellers remove those before selling. Let me know if you need help with anything.

Bringing back an old thread. Just want to make sure the seats bolt up in the same spot. I have a 2012 DC with cloth manual seats. Found a 2011 Sequoia Limited with leather seats.

I see my seat is connected by some wires at the bottom, not sure why though. So all I have to do is spice wires in my Truck with the Sequoia seats and they’ll work?

Yes they will bolt right up, the two vehicles share the same frame and floor plan. Wires at the bottom should be the yellow connector for seat's airbag, just tap into a power source and the seats will move back and forth, as for heating, it's too much work for me and i'm lazy so i skipped it.

Do you have the pics again? They're not showing. I just picked up Sequoia seats and I don't know which wire goes to what. There are 3 "plugs" and only 1 actually fits (yellow one). Of the remaining 2, not sure which one is the power.

Shoot i think i deleted the pics, but just follow the wiring that goes to the seat control, should be a red wire i think. Tap into that and then into your fuse box and then ground the other wire to the body and the seat should move.
