Compustar remote starter/ dome lights

Anyone have compustar starter installed and have dome lights not come on? I’ve seen on other posts they disable dome lights cause it messes with system?. My switch for dome lights to turn on do not work as well. If I press buttons on dome lights they work. Called bestbuy and they will be calling me sometime today. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem! TIA

 

I think mine come on. I won't be able to confirm this until tomorrow when I get my Tundra back.

 

Before when I would unlock my truck my dome lights would come on. With install of remote starter dome lights don’t even come on when door is open. Checked light switch turned it on and off and it doesn’t turn on at all. Might be install. Hope they call...

 

Compustar here....dome's are just fine.

 

i have a compustar system with the add on 2 way remote. mine come on no problem. might be the way its wired

 

If I’m not mistaken that’s something that can be reprogrammed into your module.

 

So I checked fuses, all good. I’m guessing it’s the installation! Alarm goes off for no reason late night day before yesterday and today. Kinda pissin me off! Truck was fine til I installed remote starter. Bestbuy geek squad said Friday I could bring in for a diagnosis. Smdh!

 

UPDATE: so brought truck into bestbuy Friday and the installer looked behind switch housing and apologized to me as I was standing beside him and said I forgot to plug it back! Wtf! Now my dome lights are working and then he checked on to why on certain days the alarm would go off. I told him did he think that the aftermarket karr alarm that was on there making it mess with the remote starter. He looked and tested and removed karr alarm and he said that might have been the problem making the truck go off. So far so good! I’ll post what he took off the with that karr alarm!

 

I have compustar remote start and alarm on my 2013 crewmax and my dome dight is fine. Only problem I had was I pressed the valet button and then had to reset the system.It was easy .Now no problem.
